Got the WOF done today. Waited 2.5 hours in the queue and took nearly 40 mints for the check up even though they said its 20 minutes per vehicle. Apparently every VTNZ looks same these days. Much better if they have advance booking system + more staff to avoid waiting time.

These guys charge $78 for a WOF!!! Way too expensive considering they only check your vehicle. I had to wait in line for 3 hours for my 20 min WOF. When I failed my WOF, they just told me what was wrong, didn't offer any advice on how to fix the issues. Would have thought for $78 they'd at least give you some advice. Then second time I got there at 8:00am to try beat the crowds. Still had to wait 2 hours to be seen. Will never come here again as it an insane waste of time and money. Would much rather support a local mechanic who will provide a better service for better value.

I have been a loyal customer at VTNZ but this is my last visit. Very efficient team but totally unacceptable to pay $78 for a warrant check & then have to wait 3 and a half hours. I don't have the time to spare. Will have to go where I pay half the price & wait half the time.

Absolute rip off - $59 for a 7x4' single axle, non-braked garden" trailer. That's around $700 per hour charge for a 5min job ( timed them ). I could understand if it was a large commercial double axle braked with all the bells and whistles type that has loads of safety features to check.... Take your business somewhere else...."

I seldom waste energy on bad reviews:This is not the first time VTNZ have got it wrong for me, costing me time, money and frustration on what should be a simple wof.I was told I had too many indicators on FACTORY fitted indicators that had ALWAYS passed. I took it to my mechanic, he disconnected, even though he disagreed. I took it back. VTNZ had it wrong in terms of the zones. There's three zones for indicators, front, back and sides. Not just front and back.I was then told I was lucky" it passed second round on the breaking I had JUST fixed. I phoned the mechanic immediately. He said they should know if it has just been fixed and driven in wet weather for a short period and it was "uneven" it wont give good results. He explained to me their duplicate and perfect tests.VTNZ need to train their staff. I only used VTNZ because it was "more convenient". They are NOT and cost me more on a wof that should have been simple."

Pretty useless to be honest.Staff don’t seem to do much aside from walking around on their phone. There will be cars in the bays with no one even looking at them.I waited a good couple of hours for just a recheck where previously they failed me for tyre exposing.I measured it myself and the tread was well within the 5mm exposing limit.I wouldn’t waste my time with these guys go book a wof with and actual mechanic instead.

Turned up - no signage to indicate their process, which turned out to be different to last month - no staff on the desk for more than 20 mins. I understand staff shortages are a real problem, but considering Saturday is their busiest day I'm sure paying enough to convince their existing staff to work another day would avoid turning off customers like me. I will be going to an alternative next time.
