Railway Station Cafe
Eggs Benedict not that great - yolks hard, spinach not wilted and bagels just don't work, they were tough and cold. Suspect that the hotcakes were frozen not freshly made, had to pay $2.50 extra for the bacon. Pattie in the burger was also cold. However, the Cookies and Cream Cheesecake was very nice. Ordered 3 meals and 3 milkshakes, 2 came out together and had to wait ages for the 3rd to come - not very good service. Cost $72.00 - not worth it.

We were there about 20 mins before a train left and it had a bit of a nice busy train station feel, with families sorting out tickets and guards grabbing a quick coffee. The only problem was service a bit slow. A happy place.

When visiting Kawakawa have a coffee at the fabulous Railway station Cafe. Wonderful home baking, try the banana and chocolate muffins. Enjoy views of the vintage railway and the beautiful garden at the back. Your purchases will support the Vintage Railway Trust to continue their good work restoring this historic railway.

Very delicious food at a decent price, I really love the homemade fries.. the beef patty in the burger was delicious all I can suggest is add a tomato to the burger as well... Otherwise highly recommend and nice staff also

The idea is good, turning a station into a cafe. But the food here is just not good at all. We've tried the station burger and the mushroom hash stack. The mushroom was ok but the hash was very tasteless, it is like they dont like to flavour anything. The burger was even worst, I don't think they have tried even their own patties. The patties was hard, unflavoured, you cant even taste the beef at all. It gives off this unpleasant aftertaste that lingers in your mouth. The chips is the only ok part. The presentation of the food is ok, but if they want to grow this business to be good. Please work on the taste. Cleanliness is also quite poor, the knife and forks had bits of dried food scraps on it.

Best cafe food I have had in a long time!Have been a couple of times, both I was super impressed with.Great selection, all home made.Pina Colada cheese cakes is the bomb!

Railway Station Cafe
We didn't eat here, but we enjoyed the VERY BEST flat white coffees of our month long holiday so far at Railway Station Cafe. We watched others meals coming out and they looked generous and delicious. This will be our go-to coffee stop in the area from now on. Thanks team.
