Busy, pricey but convenient store. Waited for 25 minutes. Ordered a Hawaiian burger with chips. Burger was a hot mince onion patty with bacon. Nice combination of mayo with tomato and lettuce that slid out the bottom. Also had hot crinkle cut chips too. I ordered off the menu ABOVE the counter which is cheaper. But was confused and nearly ordered off the white laminated (dine in) menu ON the counter which is more expensive. First time visiting here through recommendation but felt the service was under pressure as lunch time seemed challenging.

Kitchen hand must be the cook - chips were supposedly a scoop but would fit in a small envelope. Quality of chips indicated low low quality. Rang to advise but not concerned

Ordered takeout from takeaway menu. Chips 0/5 soggy, unseasoned, uncooked. Burger bacon and cheese dismal and way overpriced 1/5. Big processed patty strip bacon slice of fake cheese total rubbish. 11 dollars plus extra for cheese. One expects delish oodles melted cheese Nope. Cheesy weezys Fail on all levels taste, presentation price. Hot dog NO sauce. When we return to Ohope Beach Resort will avoid getting takeaways from here like the plague. 38 dollars should have asked for a refund but it was tea hungry kids and everything else was further away. Next time won't blooming care if have to drive to Whakatane! So bloomin disappointing got rorted!

Bowl had chips which is a bit off putting. I had hoped for some fresh seafood in the chowder. Mainly surimi and seafood medley mix. One prawn. Disappointed.

Nice spot to have coffee. Beautiful view with a lovely breakfast. The furthest coffee place from Ohope centre. If you missed this then you’re out of luck.

Best fish n chips meal I have ever had. Been here 3 times now for the fish. Fresh and perfectly cooked and in large portions. I have traveled a lot and my partner and I visit a lot of cafes and this is number one on the list hands down. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed

Pros: very lovely spot with a fantastic view. Coffee was good! Conveniently located for locals.Cons: Staff seemed a bit cold. Brunch was okay, but a bit cold and the meal was drenched in way too much hollandaise. The scone seemed quite stale and went very crumbly. Expensive (all things considered).Overall: You can see that this place does multiple things, cafe, bar and shop. Which is great, but makes me wonder if the overall experience is diluted as a result compared to other cafes in Ohope. I think I’ll return for takeaway coffee, but other Ohope cafes seem to have a better dine in experience.

I only stopped for a beer but plan to come again. I could see the food looks good, location is great and the atmosphere and location is really nice. Will come again to sit down a bit longer and enjoy the food
