Parrotdog Brewery
Poor drinks selection and some staff quite unhelpful (exception was one who was out the front who tried to be helpful). Food came out at different times- 4 people ordered and one burger took over an hour and was very underwhelming with no garnish. Poor value. Onion rings $14.

Enjoyed the food and beer but experience was ruined a little when an overly officious staff member basically told us off when our six year old went to the counter to buy an ice block as he was unaccompanied. We’re in our mid forties and like everyone else have been to hundreds of bars and have never encountered this before. No room for pragmatism anymore? It’s not like we were getting him to buy us a beer and he wasn’t misbehaving. All around disappointing.

Horrible experience. We went there with my wife and our 1,5 years old child. We ordered a fried chicken for our child which was clearly undercooked and bloody. Instead of an apology they insisted in a very rude way that we just want to complain, and the chicken is not undercooked, but it’s a tomato sauce! I have never seen such a bad costumer service. I let you decide who has right…

Parrotdog Brewery is a great spot for a casual meal and a cold beer. The food was delicious - I particularly enjoyed the deluxe cheese burger and the rosemary and garlic fries. The beers are always on point and the service was friendly and fast. Highly recommend checking it out.

The brewery is good for a hangout. We had our Christmas party there and we were like 30-35 people from our office. They had decent drinks and food. They allow pets which is a good idea for many pet livers and per owners. The cauliflower fry and chicken fry were great. A must try. They have Burgers, chips and mock tails too.Apart from beer they have wines, whiskey and cocktails too. You can also tour their brewery and taste different kinds of beer.

My wife and I decided on a whim to go as we'd never been there on Easter Sunday. Place was pretty quiet and several staff kind of hanging around at the bar. Girl that asked for our order was rude and very grumpy. Poured our drinks and just plonked them down and didn't tell us which was which. Asked if we wanted fries with our burgers and seemed annoyed when asked how much they were. Food came out quick but the veg cheese burgers we ordered were very average. The patties were like paste and bland. We won't be going back and won't recommend it. Good staff make a pub or bar and this place is severely lacking.

Had a great time on my first visit. Been wanting to visit for some time, but first opportunity to get to Welly to see the new bar. Didn’t disappoint. Great food, great beer, friendly and helpful service (we ordered a couple of the paddles and got notes about each one so we could check the info for each beer on their website). Spent quite a few hours here. Tried all their main tap beers :-/ My fave? Bitterbitch. My partner’s? Falcon. Thanks for a great time.

I buy their beer all the time at the supermarket, so was keen to experience the cellar door. Very dog friendly which is great. Not enough small batch stuff to try, which you hope for at the cellar. Staff are pretty young and don't inject any personality Into the service which is a shame. Banter is always great in hospo.

Love coming here with my dog to catch up with friends over a drink and a very tasty burger. My favourite dog friendly venue in Wellington.
