Very unhelpful and unprofessional customer service. Overcharged and inconsistent prices for the hire service. Rude and inconsiderate staff that kept hand-balling the problem to others. Very unpleasant experience and more of a hassle dealing with them. Not what you need on a holiday.

Excellent experience all around. Everyone was welcoming and accommodating. Even made it easy to change my return location amd return time when our trip plans needed to change! Would recommend and use again.

Unhelpful due to Cyclone Gabrielle. We could take the car with us, but then later had to call another department ourselves to ask whether the car was available longer. Or could pay more and return it to another place. Not helpful in thinking along with us. We canceled the reservation. Disappointing.

We rented a Toyota Highlander for 10 days at what I feel is a very affordable price. Wonderful car. Clean when collected. Superbly comfortable drive for 5 + 3 large bags + 3 small bags and with pockets of space for other items. Great drive. Steady at turns. Drove on gravel with great suspension too. Delightful experience. Pls note they are strict with regard to the driver who booked the car must have the same details including driving license number versus your actual license which you need to show on spot. Otherwise no go. Pls confirm with them that rental payment is settled prior to car collection to avoid hiccups on collection day. Car return to Ezi rental lots in vehicle shed at airport. Return time clocked as time when the counter staff received my keys, not the time car checked in.

Despite the website clearly saying the minimum age is 20 the age is actually 21 is what I was told by the person at the desk and the manager whom I spoke to. I had a full English license and I was in fact 20 years old. The managers exact words were “You need to be 21 because you need to have held a full license for 3+ years.” I explained that even if that were the case I’ve had my full license for 3 years now because the state in which I lived in the United States allowed a full license at 17. He said it’s still not allowed.

Reasonably priced. Fast check in check out process. The car was very new! It was the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq hybrid. Fuel consumption was about 4.3L/100km which is not bad at all! Just make sure you switch to sports mode when you want to overtake on the highway because the default mode (eco) is very sluggish. Anyway, loved the experience and will return if I visit NZ again.
