Always a nice place to visit. Buzzing atmosphere. Food and coffee very good. Menu seems pretty much unchanged. Maybe a good thing for some people but sort of same old same old if you are a regular visitor.

Fantastic lunch of chicken roulade and arancini today. Super coffee and very special home made kids meals.Absolutely loved it. Keep up the fine table service as well.We'll be back.

Lovey spot for lunch with friend on a sunny day. The gardens are a lovely place to sit and enjoy both the sunshine and the great food this place has on offer. I really enjoyed the venison pie! Good size portions and friendly staff combined with a great local cider makes for a very pleasant time indeed!If you are cycling the great taste trail, this place is worth the short detour from the track for a bite to eat!

A local legend that’s worth a visit. Great food and drinks. Amazing garden to sit in on a fine day. It’s located in the old factory corner so have lunch and then browse the other local legends.

Honestly really disappointed. First time here and asked if I should order at till or if it was table service. They said to grab a table and they’d come over to me. 30 minutes later no one ever came. I tried to make eye contact with the server but she completely ignored me. Two other couples sat down after me and the server completely ignored them until a different server asked if one couple had been served and they said no they were waiting on menus. The other couple ended up leaving after getting no service for 10 minutes. I get the server seemed busy but everyone who came out didn’t even look at me, despite trying to wave them over. Heard good things and was excited to try, but service was awful and server clearly wasn’t trained well.

Having read all of the incredible reviews we decided to take guests to the Grape Escape. So yes we were first timers. First the good. I have always been impressed by the front lawn area, stunning building and surroundings. When we went inside I was super pleased with the large space and welcoming setting. One is not sitting on the next tables lap. Room to breathe. From there everything else was average. Food was expensive, and yes the portions were nice, but 3 of the 4 of us were disappointed with the quality. Did not seem as if there was any love in the food. I would rather have a smaller plate of love than a large plate of blah. I don't mind paying whatever for a wow experience. The other person, well if there is bacon on the plate it's 5 star dining. Service was so/so. It was definitely an uninspiring experience, other than the Setting. It's not a place I would take guests back to, other than to have a drink under a tree on the front lawn. Hope this helps.
