Great place for renting surf gear, they also provide a soft rack, if it’s s not fit into your car.Very honest staff, they will recommend you the right spot, depends on your skill level. Highly recommended place

First time ordering online from Vertigo Surf, I can see why all the good reviews are well deserved. Jono was responsive and knowledgeable about the gear he's selling. The surfboard was professionally packed and arrived next day. Can't really ask for better service than that. I was also happy about the free shipping and the deal I got on the board bag. Thanks Jono! Had a great lesson here with Neil. The way he deconstructed the steps to standing up was really helpful. We had earlier been on another lesson at another surf school, but this one was much more successful and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Easy to book a surf lesson, even the day before on a Sunday. Neil is a fantastic and caring, enthusiastic instructor. Both my wife and I got up and surfing for our first time. Rental include good wetsuits and boards, which is all we needed!

Jono (the owner) is super knowledgable about the equipment he recommends and takes the time to listen to what the customer is really seeking. Vertigo surf has excellent equipment range and pricing is good! I would rate Vertigo the best core surf store in New Zealand and would recommend dealing with them whether you are based in New Plymouth or anywhere across New Zealand as they are super reliable. Recommended +++
