Great food! The classic burger was outstanding. Jalapeno poppers very nice too. Good quick friendly service and nice ambience

Had a large party and they easily sat us. Get the brisket...outside of Texas or Kansas, this is one of the best smoked brisket I've had. Jalapeno poppers are also good. Excellent cocktails, too. Check out the espresso bbq sauce. It had a nice subtle bite to it. Not super hot, 4 out of 10 on the hot scale. Staff was attentive and helpful. We also had a gluten-free person who was easily accommodated.

Great food. Nice variations on the burger and other dishes, presented in a rustic way. Nice ambience. Clean facilities. Bench seating could be better as the vinyl covered squabs are very worn. Experienced waiting staff who handled our group table well.

I recently visited Salt n Wood and had a truly exceptional experience. The restaurant has a unique and cozy atmosphere, with a warm and inviting interior that makes you feel right at home. But what really blew me away was the food. Every dish we ordered was expertly prepared and absolutely delicious. The focus on wood-fired cooking really shines through in the flavors, with dishes like the wood-roasted cauliflower and the smoked brisket being particular standouts. The service was also fantastic. Despite the restaurant being walk-in only and not taking bookings, we were greeted warmly and made to feel right at home. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and made great recommendations for both food and drinks. The only downside to our experience was the wait time. As Salt n Wood is walk-in only, there can be a bit of a wait for a table. However, the staff were upfront about the wait time and made sure we were comfortable while we waited. And in my opinion, the wait was well worth it for the amazing food and atmosphere.Overall, I would highly recommend Salt n Wood to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a cozy and unique setting. While there may be a bit of a wait, it's all part of the experience and I would give this restaurant a 5 out of 5 stars without hesitation.

Everything tasted really great except the coleslaw, which was totally bland. It seemed to be chopped red cabbage and nothing else. They gave me some extra dressing when I asked for it, but the dressing was pretty bland too - only a slight improvement. The pulled pork was delicious, the brisket burger and the jerk chicken were slightly too spicy for our taste, but I'd still go back for another meal of them - especially the chicken. The beer was superb, and I'm not usually a beer drinker.

The food wasn't to my liking or taste, (you may very well like the flavours) they forgot a drink we had ordered but did try make up with a free beverage also didn't do all our food order and they thought taking off the prices for the milkshake rectified the issue. Last but not least trying to pay for order's separately was a issue The person on the till did not look as if she knew what she was doing and if you weren't 1st through to pay then you paid for extras.... This was my experience it may have been overly busy for these mistakes

Food was amazing, best egg bene I have ever had, brisket was just delicious! Son had a burger it was huge and he loved every bite! Hubby had the loaded fries with gravy! Oh and the Coffee was just so good! Coming from Auckland prices were to be expected but the good itself was worth every dollar! And how cool it is also a brewery! Was a bit early in the day for a cold one but we will be back for sure!!

Had the small brisket and kumara salad. It was really tasty and will definitely head back. The large brisket (left in my photo) was huge! It was good quality, and a friendly vibe
