I was taking the Intercity bus and our bus made a rest stop here. Lovely surprise. Beautiful places to sit, loved seeing the animals! Lots of food options, maybe even too many. Yummy and beautiful coffees. Staff were all lovely, efficient and friendly

Stopped by the cafe during my trip on Intercity, as they use it as a pit stop. It's a nice setting with friendly staff who were clearly accustomed to whole buses showing up at once. Plenty of tables inside and out. Just wanted a snack so I got the kid's chicken nuggets.The food was.. food. It seemed a bit light for $10.50. Table was salty and the bathroom had no soap. All-in-all it pretty much nailed my expectations for a highway diner. Would return (if, you know, I took another Intercity bus and it stopped there).

Stayed here on our road trip from Auckland to Welly. The staff are fantastic, welcoming and friendly the surroundings are animal filled and rural. We stayed in one of the little cabins and found it very cosy and cute.There's a bit of road noise being so close to SH1 but there's not much you can do about that.The cafe has a wide range of food and is up with the best we've been to. Pretty great for a road side cafe kilometres from the nearest town.

We have stayed twice at the campsite and we really enjoyed the hospitality. Here you can not only spend time with domestic animals, there are also a playground, a maze and a jumping castle. In the cozy lounge there is a play corner where children can have fun in bad weather. The sanitary facilities are a bit small but very well maintained and clean. You can tell that the owner has put a lot of thought into it and has built up a really great concept with lots of small details. By the way, you can have a delicious breakfast in the morning. Thanks again to the owner for the delicious pancakes for our son. Appreciated ☺️A place that we are very happy to recommend.

You have to stop here! It’s a great place to stop for food, drinks and the loo. A bonus is a huge seating area inside and out with animals to pet, toys, playground and a maze. Kids will love it! And travel wary parents will appreciate it. Plenty of parking and consider staying in the campground or in one of their funky camping pods….

Arrived with a bus load of people. More than half bought food, the others had their own food. Staff told us we couldn't eat our own inside or even outside next to bus. The disabled toilet was also locked. Next time we will stop somewhere else

Great stop between Wellington and Taupo! Gorgeous nature with lots of green and cute farm animals. Both indoor and outdoor seating, clean toilets, great coffee/food and friendly staff always! Can’t recommend enough such a lovely cafe!

AWRSOME service, attentive staff with quick service. Bathrooms were immaculate. However hate to say but the only improvement was the coffee did taste burnt. Otherwise excellent work guys will definitely stop by again, hopefully with a more rounded coffee experience :) ☕Didn't stay, stopped for takeaway

Passing through and stopping for breakfast was amazing. I found an animal farm, cute chalets for accomodation and really good food. We had a a breakfast stacker with mushrooms and pancakes with bacon and banana plus our coffeesThe service is so welcoming, the fire was going so warm and the food so yummy. I've never tried banana bacon and pancakes but had some as it looked good in my partners plate. It had a side of jam and yoghurt and was so good

Stopped here a few times on our drive from Wellington to Taupo as they are exactly in the middle. Lovely staff here and they’ve always got a smile and great service no matter how busy they are! It was raining today but my girls still loved the outside play house and the birds! Will be coming back here for sure, they even have a bouncy castle in the summer!!!
