you need some traffic calming and speed bumps to control that one guy" that that just has to spin out and zoom off putting all the users of this space at risk.please control the cars because you can't trust every driver"

Great overnight parkup. Great treed area with picnic tables and free BBQ. Generally clean public loos. Beautiful walk or cycle track alongside river.

Great facility, great area for picnics and also there is a bbq and toilets. Also a freedom camp for very small number. Great walking and biking tracks. Plus you can watch the kids at the BMX track

Ashley Picnic Ground: Great picnic ground with electric BBQ picnic tables, and toilets (generally clean, but sometime ****) Great biking and walking tracks the Mike Kean Walkway runs along the side of the Ashley/Rakahuri river just over the northern stop bank of the reserve and goes to railway bridge. And is very popular with dog walkers.
