Good old fashioned grocery shop, where you see the locals talking to business owners about problems, eg. a pensioner discussing his dog's ailments with a veterinary staff member.

This store is the only one in a main centre for those of us who live the wider rural regions of Hikurangi, Hukerenui, Totara and more, Hikurangi centre is also the only stop between Kawakawa and Whangarei that has cafes, a convenience store, medical centre a vet and other stores for farmers etc..the town has a library, a community centre, a park, a lake public toilets and the Inkhart tattoo shop ☺

Busy little place, you can get your groceries, lotto and beer from here. Pricing is good for a little place and the choice is good. Plenty of parking out the front or to the side.
