Very nice 2 bedroom unit with all the comfort and amenities you could wish for. Very clean and tidy in nice quiet location

Stayed one night in a 2 bedroom unit. Detached, quiet, quality fit out and lots of nice touches to make it a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended if you are staying in the district.

The lodge was lovely and spotless with comfy beds, a great shower with really good water pressure, a good living area and kitchen with pretty much everything needed. The only things I would have liked to see in the kitchen were a pair of scissors and some normal size coffee mugs.The bedrooms had plenty of storage space for bags etc. The only negative was the bed side lights which weren't ideal for reading by.We arrived quite late and it was no problem, especially given that they weren't expecting us until the following night which was when they'd been told we were arriving.Our lodge was not far from the main road and it was surprisingly quiet inside and we weren't kept awake by traffic noise.We will definitely stay here again.

Freshly rebuilt convent. Stayed in a small single with shared facilities, and it was brilliant, I'll absolutely stay again. Comfy bed, spotlessly clean, room had a sink and a fridge. It's a quality build too - Methven tapware etc. Excellent location, just a short walk into the township.

Bed was comfortable so had a good sleep. Only problem was there is nowhere for clothes. No hook, no luggage rack, no wardrobe, so bags were on the floor.

Looks great, clean, tidy, and friendly service, but it just doesn't work. Due to my partners knee problems, I requested an easy access room. Whoever designed it obviously doesn't have a clue about what is needed. Someone in a wheelchair wouldn't be able to get into bed. It was a struggle for me as an able-bodied person to get into the very high sided bed. The handbasin in the bathroom was also at the height for an able-bodied person to use. The wet room shower and rails were great. Why not finish the rest with appropriate furniture. The second thing that stood out was nowhere to put anything, bags, clothes, or your bottom. Yes, no seating, no bag stand, no wardrobe, and only one bedside table. On top of this, enough decorative cushions to cover 80% of the bed, so once you removed the ones you didn't want, the room halved in size. My partner spent the evening trying to find somewhere comfortable to sit , not ideal. Then, the road noise, vehicles seem to pass by all night. The windows need to be double-glazed or a hedge put in out front to reduce to road noise. It was not the most relaxing place to stay. They could also brighten up the place with some art or photographs. The people running the lodge are lovely and helpful. It's just a pity that it's been so badly designed.

Lovely facilities, great service, amazing rooms. Very close to town and its an easy walk into town. Highly recommend and definitely would stay here again.

Clean, convenient and modern with much care taken for presentation in the rooms. We were particularly impressed by the extra touches, like a lovely loaf of fresh bread from The Waimate Bakery on arrival. The couple who manage the Lodge are just lovely and take great pride in keeping the accommodation and grounds pristine for guests to enjoy. Highly recommended.
