We have just moved to Queenstown from Brisbane Australia and have to say the help and service we have received from N Z Movers has been phenomenal. The constant care and support has blown us away, the daily updates from Summer Croucher has been brilliant. The organisation of our car being sorted for compliance and clearance, has been so stress free and wonderful. The team who came to deliver and unpack our furniture to the rental property we are in where absolutely fantastic , hard working and so helpful. I would recommend New Zealand Movers and will definitely be using them again when we buy a property here without a doubt. Thank you again New Zealand Movers from Jane and Roger Wright. :)

Caitlin, Caroline, Jayden & driver Brent from Christchurch were absolute professionals in their service.Arrived when I'd been advised, courteous, mindful of my property, great team work with such effortless effeciency.My contents were wrapped with all care taken to ensure every item was protected.A great Team of people & an amazing company to deal with.Would use again without hesitation.Storage of my Home was totally explained which reassured me immmensely.

The New Zealand part of my move from Melbourne was subcontracted to New Zealand Movers Dunedin. I found the Shipping Manger in Christchurch excellent to deal with. Overall the team that came to unpack and deliver were cheerful and helpful. They were patient as I ticked off each of the box numbers on my list, and persisted in putting together some of the larger pieces of furniture that they weren’t familiar with. Aside from a couple items which were damaged (out of 250 boxes/items of furniture). I found their work professional and was generally satisfied with them.

We have used NZ Movers to manage the Customs Clearance and all associated tasks for the shipping of our loved VW Transporter Van and 30 packages from the UK to NZ. Summer at NZ Movers was very professional, competent and friendly and I would not hesitate to recommend NZ Movers to anyone as a shipping agent. Regards Zane Kerse

We moved from Dunedin to Christchurch and the Lv 4 Covid 19 lock down was happening where Ray King was nothing short of an absolute legend with Rachael Hore supporting. They managed to reschedule the delivery of our belongings so we got our goods to our new home literally on the day before the lock down. Their commitment and follow up during an incredibly stressful time is something rarely seen in any industry. Thanks to Ray and Rachael and we highly recommend using this company for your moving needs. great people, processes and service.

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THIS COMPANY!We recently relocated from Auckland to Wānaka and had our home contents moved by this company. While we waited to find our new place in Wānaka we had our contents stored in a container at the dunedin branch.We were told it would take a week for our stuff to arrive in Dunedin, so a week after the move we asked if we could come by the dunedin branch to pick up our plants that were relocated (a previously organised arrangement).When we arrived at the Dunedin branch no one could find our container and ALL of our home content was unaccountable. No one in Auckland or Dunedin knew where our stuff was. It was simply missing... Nothing was done to easy our concern and not one single person we spoke to from the company wanted to take responsibility for this.Weeks later they found our stuff in an unlabelled container still in Auckland and told us it was coming to Dunedin ASAP. When we tried again to go pick up our plants (worth over $1,000) we opened up the container to obviously find them all dead, after weeks without care.NZ Movers promised to reimburse us for the damaged pots and dead plants, and would give us a $200 voucher... They never delivered on that promise.I went back to pick up other boxes of things that we needed and upon unpacking them I found damage to important items such as my guitars and appliances.Yet to have the rest of our stuff unpacked and as you can imagine I am very nervous.When you sign a contract to have someone move your stuff and you pay lots of money to do so, it's expected that your prized possessions and all of your home content is well looked after and that the professionals treat you and your stuff with respect.But this is clearly not the standard or expectation adopted by NZ Movers.NZ Movers are the most unprofessional service I've ever had to use and I honestly wouldn't recommend them at all.

I booked a service through Kent to transport my entire household from Brisbane to Australia. From Dunedin to Queenstown the job was subcontracted to New Zealand Movers who as per contract needed to transport, unpack, assemble and take the boxes.3 guys turned up with 1 knife and no tools whatsover. Nothing was provided to them to do the unpacking or the assembling. I had to ask neighbours for screwdrivers.They were clearly rushing, did not let me count the boxes, left without finishing the unpacking (they were meant to unpack all big items, furniture, whiteware and put the kitchenware on the table top). They left a lot of smaller items (microwave, coffee machine etc) unpacked and didn't even try to unpack the rest and put on table top. In the rush some of decor items were lost which had huge sentimental value to me.When assembling, the employees didn't care about providing quality service. They assembled a big couch and left parts out (couch legs), i had to point out and make them fix it.Also I asked the company when will they pick up the remaming boxes. They said that they can do today (it was Friday). I was at work so had to ask my friends for a favour to come and flatten all the boxes. I communicated to the manager that this was done and sent a picture of all the boxes. I came home to find out that nothing has been picked up and there was no communication from the company whatsoever.I had no choice but to use this company as Kent engaged them. If you can, avoid at any cost, they just hire guys from a street, don't give them any tools or training.

one guy from NZ movers came home to do the quotation and told us they will take down the photo frames and pack it and bike they will pack in big box. He gave us the Quotation it was 6000$ and told us it can go wee bit up or down final invoice 7000$ when we received our items there was things which we told them not pack. the people who came to do the packing rude and their language is so bad kids from street. we paid for unpack they told us they will unpack all the boxes but the company this end told us they can't unpack because we don't have the table however table is their truck.they did came and took the empty boxes. there is no point paying for unpacking.

This experience started out well. I loved dealing with the lovely Rachel from the DUNEDIN office. Absolutely nothing bad to say about her, she has been amazing from start to finish. The Wellington guys impressed me too, especially since my bed didn't fit through the door so they completely dismantled it and rebuilt it for me. They even checked behind the curtains for spiders for me (yes I'm a wuss). It was while unpacking that I realised the complete lack of care the Dunedin team showed to my stuff. I found glass jars rattling around inside my chest freezer with no packaging, I had boxes of fragile items buried in my laundry basket underneath HEAVY boxes with no thought or care, and my ornamental coffee table was just thrown into a box that was too small for it to begin with and with no other packaging at all! Absolutely appalled! I know the odd thing may get broken when moving but when I opened said boxes to discover my grandmother's ornaments and China shattered from being CRUSHED ( there were quite a few things in various boxes crushed) and my coffee table broken to the point there was a chunk missing, I was absolutely wild at the complete lack of care for my stuff. I sent through emails to the company (I prefer to deal with complaints direct if possible to give the company a chance to respond) but the only response I got was after waiting awhile I sent a copy of my emails to the lovely Rachel, who forwarded it to the appropriate people. Have also since had no further communications from the people who were supposedly 'investigating'. I have had no apology or respect at all for the fact my stuff was trashed, it wasn't even about money since most of my stuff had sentimental value rather than monetary. It just feels like the whole 'debacle' has been swept under the rug and considering how lovely Rachel and the Wellington team were, I feel slightly horrible saying it but I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY - DO NOT USE NZ MOVERS UNLESS YOU WANT YOU AND YOUR STUFF TO BE TREATED LIKE DIRT.
