I am totally fine with my experience with you and buying on line. I do have a question that I've been meaning to ask.The instructions aren't really clear about how the device is supposed to look/operate once installed.Is the red light supposed to blink on periodically once the magnet is removed? Or does that only happen when the battery is running out?Thanks for all the follow up emails and checking in. Very cool.

I looked up product reviews on smoke alarms stocked at 3 other big nationwide companies and was not happy with the reliability of them. I found PSL Fire & Safety to be cheaper than the others and am hoping being a Fire protection supplier, they will stock a better product that the hardware and homeware stores. Service was excellent - quick and tracking was provided.
