Good diagnostic process, excellent communication (making sure to explain and consult on options before undertaking repair work), friendly bunch, and fair pricing. And, air con is now working great to boot!Couldn't ask for more, exactly the way a mechanic should be run.

I regret going to CoolCar. Called in to see if they could fix air conditioning (leaking pipe). They said they could and only mention of price was about $200 to fix pipe. When I dropped it off they said they would call in morning with a quote. They called in afternoon saying pipe was repaired and system was working but would I like to add a new dryer ($170) and that the total price was $1490! I expected it might be $500 or something; not $1490! I think the job was probably done well and maybe even price is fair but poor communication and misleading on initial price indication/communication led me to feel disappointed. Afterwards I was informed that most jobs come in at at least that price; so I recommend that they tell customers that in future.

I was very impressed with the service I received. The staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We'll done 5/5.

3 stars is soley because the front office staff are super lovely and helpful, plus the courtesy car really helped, for this they deserve 10 stars.. However, the techs are lacking basic courtesy when it comes to explaining things such as a simple sorry you had to come back 2x due to us missing an O ring..." "oh and by the way your aircon is on Auto now???" Thank you for fixing it now but just a heads up on that would have seriously changed my opinion about not wanting to come back.. Also thanks for removing your unauthorized sticker from my car..."

Totally impressed with the service received from Hamilton branch. Hot Rod and his team were fabulous from Holly in the office to Rod working on my car.and explaining very clearly the work undertaken. Much appreciation. Sharon

I have used Cool Car Hamilton's services for many years, for different vehicles. Always straight forward with excellent communication. Naturally they encourage preventative maintenance, which is the best value in the long run. So far I have not required major work. Highly recommended for any auto air conditioning needs :)

Would not recommend this service to anyone. Unsure how they have a 3.9 rating (at time of writing) on google. We paid for the initial diagnostic fee and was told they needed to hold car overnight for observation. Was quoted via phone a price which seemed high but was assured that was what's wrong. Was then later called again to be informed another part also needs replacing (which wasn't identified in the diagnostic service). Price just kept increasing without any accountability for the services they provided to date.In addition, the customer service we received while picking up the car was terrible. When questioning the price and services (which ended up being $500 more than quoted), we provided feedback on how poor our experience had been and were met with hostility. Really wish I'd not followed google's recommendation on this service. Cost us a small fortune and it was an all round horrible customer experience.

Our Dometic 3 way fridge refused to work on gas while in our camper in Tauranga so contacted these guys for help. WOW. Great prompt and efficient service starting with Holly in the office through to Ben and Rodney in the workshop. Highly recommend this Company.
