LSI Auckland (English language school)

I made two stays at this school, the first 3 years ago and the second in last July. I had a great time. The admin staff is very friendly and efficient. The registration procedure and the accommodation placement are simple and quick. Everything is well organized.I had an excellent teacher, Brad for both stays, very knowledgeable and funny, with attentive listening to his studentsI met students from all backgrounds, from Europe to South America and Asia. They have very good level in English (in advanced level class). Classes are 10 to 12 students, making the conversations and the work easier.It is also important to mention the good location of the school, on the upper Queen St.I recommend this school.

I had a great time at LSI Auckland during my two weeks intensive course. All employees and teachers are so nice and friendly. I will really miss them. One suggestion from my side is to implement for the future a complete adults business course for the whole day, that would be a great opportunity for business people. Cheers!

I've spent 12 amazing weeks studying at LSI and I've learned a lot. I've had opportunity to learn with nice students and excellent teachers. The Staff is very, very nice too. They helped me every time when I'd any problem about accommodation or giving advisers and support. Everyone is so special as Auckland City is. That assuredly was one of greatest time of my life. I had a real bad experience with the school without even studying there.First of all the reply on email inquiries was very slow ,the first email only, that I had to contact the school by phone to in order to respond to my email.secondly , after I exchanged many emails with the nice receptionist I was told that the filled enrollment form was referred to another person to handle it and this person would get back to me with further details and that I HAD BEEN ALREADY REGISTERED on the school for the course starting on Jan. 4th 2017 .And after 10 days of waiting without any contact from the school I sent a mail and tried to contact them by phone with no response at all!! and since it was already the 22nd of December I thought that I must call the emergency number since I did not receive any further details neither for paying the fees nor for the host family I was supposed to reside with. And only when I called the emergency number for the 3rd time I was answered from a lady that told me that she did not receive any enrollment form or anything regarding my case!! and the school is already closed since Dec. 16th , a week before the Christmas holiday and she could not do anything for me, and the best she could do is to register me for the course bu without arraigning a homestay and I have to arrange my residence myself and they had no commitment toward me whatsoever because they did not receive any fees form me!!! and just to make the situation even worse and instead a compensation for this mistake I was welcomed to look for a different school!! and yes that was only one day before the Christmas break!!!.And yes I was also blamed for not figuring out that the school was closed since Dec 16th by my own!!!and through the talk with that lady she implied many times that I was lying !!!lastly I had to cancel all the arrangements for this trip including the very expensive ticket .Just how nonprofessional is that?!!

In this school, I had a preparation for ielts English test and I can say that was worth, I could pass in that test with a good overall 6.0

I think the most valuable lesson we can take in a exchange course its the people you know during your experience. If my trip to New Zealand didnt had LSI, It wouldnt have been so fun as it was. Meeting people from other worlds is amazing.But talking about the instituion it self, the test they make at the begging of the course, is kind poorly made, in my class I ended up with people far more experient than I, and with people much less experient than I.Hugs from Brazil !

I had a horrible experience there, only because I decided to cancel my course, and the school terms says you are allowed to cancel. Andrea Pala didn't help me with anything, instead she try cancel my visa, and was asking about passport all the time thanks god I never handle to her. I didn't like Auckland, was to big for me and so I decided move to Wellington, Andrea was very rude also my homestay, thanks god I found cheap and better school in Wellington, didn't lost my visa, and had a lot of support from Emigration. If you are not happy with this school just cancel your course and get your money back and find a new school. We all deserve good treatment and respect. I hope the new direction take care better of the new students.

I had an incredible experience here.I learned a lot and I just have to thank all the excellent professionals who work here. Whenever I needed were solicitous and very patient.
