Don’t expect help from these monsters, they do not care if you are suicidal and they will treat you like an idiot.

I would give no star but can't. If your in crisis DO NOT CALL this service. They will not come! Even if youre suffering in the system. I asked how they helped. They could not answer. Total waste of tax payers money. REPLASE.

It was my first time calling a number like this. The doctor and other mental health service provided me this number when I was having really bad suicidal thoughts and if it got too much for me to handle. I was told to call the number immediately beforehand but I didn’t because I get anxious with phone calls. So I called them when the thoughts got too much for me to handle and felt I was a risk to myself. As I said I never called a phone number. So I was confused what to say at all, so I talking about what is the cause of me feel like I’m at risk. I thought it is obvious calling a phone number like this means you feel like you are a risk to yourself. And assumed they should know if someone calls the phone number they’re suicidal. I just wanted someone to comfort me while I’m at that state. She had the audacity to respond to me saying “you realise you have called a crisis number and there are other numbers you can call if you just want to talk”. I felt so dismissed with my feelings like I wasn’t suicidal enough. She Suggested better help. which they should of know the controversy about how you don’t need to be a license therapist to work for better help and better help has other dodgy stuff as well. Also she belittled my experience about what triggered me to relapsed on my eating disorder causing me to have a massive mental breakdown.

I gave one star because I had to in order to have my say. The CRS Team are an awesome group of people who are hog tied by financial and legal constraints. I have fought for and with my daughter for ten years and have experienced poor and no assistance with this 'service'. I'm a Registered Nurse working within Mental Health and that makes no difference. If you have a loved one suffering with mental health issues, hold them close because the NZ Health system is sick itself and won't help you.

The worst mental health service. It is very rare to find someone on staff who actually cares and are willing to do anything. The amount of times suicidal and depressed people have been told to “try holding ice, have a bath, a cup of tea”, is beyond a joke.As a last resort and hope for people you’d think they would actually do something, they have let me and people I know down time and time again. Then blame you after an attempt for not reaching out, but why would you when experience with them leaves you feeling worthless, pathetic, attention seeking and utterly unimportant. I am aware it’s “the system”, but come on! It’s a complete joke and no wonder our suicide rates are so high. DO BETTER!
