We came across David's website and loved the photos. Particularly his talent with landscape photography, as we were having an outdoor wedding. After getting in contact by email (we're based in Australia), he suggested a skype chat to discuss the wedding and see if we thought he would be the right fit. From that point on we knew we had the right photographer for us! He was amazing. Throughout all the organising process, nothing was ever a drama, he had helpful suggestions and was always prompt replying to emails. Then on the day, he was everywhere, doing everything, while still being relaxed and wonderful with us and all our guests (they all said how great our photographer had been!). The photographs have come out better than we could ever have hoped, he captured so many special moments, both of us and all our guests. We would highly recommend David to anyone and we could't have wished for someone better to capture our special day!

I thought choosing a photographer was going to be a difficult process but when I Dave we felt really comfortable and confident that he understood what we wanted and would fit in on our day, Especially that he and his assistant were happy to photograph our two Rottweiler's in our wedding photos. We are extremely happy with the photos he took and produced of our day, he has captured everything we could have wished for about the day and was there from start to finish which was great, I had several of my guests comment on him, that he was working really hard and the length of time he spent with us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend David as a wedding photographer to any of my friends and family.

Choosing Dave was one of the easiest decisions of our wedding - he is flexible, has a great attitude, produces great photos and is extremely affordable! David was amazing to work with, especially planning our wedding from Christchurch. He was happy to organise details over email and through Skype. I loved the pre-wedding photo shoot - it was a good opportunity to meet properly, get comfortable in front of the camera and get a taste for Dave's great work. Dave has a really relaxed, yet professional approach to photography and has a talent of making everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. Dave was more than happy to help with and work to our timeline. We did our group photos before the ceremony and he also talked us into sneaking away from our reception for sunset photos on the rocks at Tahuna, which gave us some of our favourite and most beautiful photos - as well as some special time to ourselves. This was one of the highlights of the day for us. All our guests also loved Dave's attitude and commented on how chilled out he was and happy to go a long with whatever we were wanting to do. The fact that there was no time limit on how long Dave was willing to stay was amazing, on an extremely busy day we didn't have to worry about getting all the photos we wanted in a limited time. Thanks so much for all your hard work and for capturing our special day to look back on forever :o)

Neither of us particularly like being in front of a camera but we both wanted some great pictures to remember our big day. We found the “pre wedding shoot” really useful, and Dave did a great job making us feel relaxed so that we were able to not only get some amazing photos of our wedding, but we really enjoyed the process too. The time we spent on the beach at Rabbit Island before the reception was probably one of the best parts of the whole day – both of us, and our whole bridal party were really able to relax and have fun, and it really shows when we look back at our photos.Dave worked extremely hard all day rushing from place to place to capture all the crucial moments (and plenty of extra bonuses too) so that we didn’t have to “stage” anything. His communication was always prompt and helpful, he answered all of our questions in a straightforward way, and he delivered our photos and album within record time! If anything, we were the ones holding up the process because we couldn’t choose between all of the fabulous pictures!Thanks so much Dave for making the whole process so easy and for capturing such amazing moments for us! We will, and have, recommended you to all our family and friends!

We had David take photos for our wedding in Feb 2023. David was great, he was on time, professional, and took fantastic photos. He was excellent at capturing people in the moment, made my wife and I feel comfortable and look better than we do in reality. He gave the photos back to us very quickly and they are all excellent quality. Highly recommend.

We were planning our Nelson wedding from Dunedin and were having trouble finding a photographer over the internet. When looking for a photographer for our wedding, we really wanted someone who could really capture the special moments between the two of us. After reading David’s website and how he structured the wedding day and what was included in his wedding package we were convinced. This was confirmed when we met David and we knew straight away we wanted David as our photographer and knew he would be able to capture our day perfectly.David is an incredibly hard working photographer who is always trying to capture that special moment and he does an outstanding job. He was very professional and exceptionally easy to work with, especially during the planning stages which were all done via emails. David provided us with a pre-wedding shoot to get us more comfortable in front of the camera as well as attending our ceremony rehearsal. We couldn’t have asked for someone more dedicated and extremely talented. He is great with direction and his assistant Lasma is also a very talented photographer. We were more than happy with our wedding photos and everyone we have shown cannot believe how amazing they are and really impressed with the different angles that were taken to get the perfect shot. We would highly recommend David to anyone and we cannot thank him more for what he achieved for our wedding.

Neither me or my partner had any experience being professionally photographed, however on our wedding day David and his assistant ensured that our experience was comfortable, seamless, and also fun. He documented our entire day and was great at coming up with a mixture of traditional and contemporary shots (and had no issues adapting to our own unique requests!). The final results are stunning and we're happy for these to be the memories of the day that we'll always be able to look back on.It should also be said that all the effort he put in in the days and weeks leading up to the shoot was great. We always felt like we were in good hands and that he offered great insight into things that we would not have otherwise have thought of.
