Te Ngakau Civic Square
Easily one of the top 5 places to see in Wellington on the way to Te Papa (for example) or incorporate as part of a city walk. Ive dropped one star as its a concrete jungle. Limited food options within the square - need to go to the adjoining streets for that... nice place to sit - a lot of locals seem to sit here at lunchtime

Te Ngakau Civic Square
This place can be a sanctuary or a bustling community spot depending on the day. I love spending time here either way.

Beautiful square in the city surrounded by library, council and gallery. Love to have a lunch break here. Some sand bags here to lie on.

Te Ngakau Civic Square
Indeed a nice place with great views.Safe at night and a good place for tourists to explore. It's a bridge between the city and the waterfront.

Te Ngakau Civic Square
A very pleasant space to sit and chill out while having lunch. Te Ngakau Civil Square is surrounded by the interesting architecture of the Town Hall, the Art Gallery, the Central Library and the Michael Fowler Center. It provides a paved and semigrassed space in the heart of the city and links to the lagoon and Wellington waterfront. Particularly nice on a sunny day, it is definitely worth checking out.

Te Ngakau Civic Square
A nice concrete jungle surrounded by the art galleries, town hall, wellington city council, public library, and other offices. A great place to sit outside and have fresh air during lunch time. Also great and safe at night times. Unfortunately, not a lot of plants, and trees around. Often become the place where people celebrate & welcome returning athletes home.

Te Ngakau Civic Square
A place filled with memories as the public library used to be at the corner of the square, which I frequent to as a uni student. The ball of fern would also be hanging above between the buildings. Nonetheless, still a great place (open area) to laze around and enjoy the sun

Te Ngakau Civic Square
Wonderfully architecturally engineered space, great place to come on a sunny day off in the city. Feed pidgins, play some foot ball, or just people watching. Free WiFi from to local art gallery too.
