Tapawera Campground

I've been all over NZ and this has been my favourite campsite so far. Love all the animals!

Friendly, welcoming, and homely. Wasn’t the cleanest, but was very reasonably priced with a great range of facilities including free wifi and washing.

Had a lovely site to put up my tent under the trees sheltered from the weather. A lovely friendly host. A short walk to the supermarket. Rustic no- frills but has everything you need. Great place

Stayed two nights at this campground. Not fancy but has everything you need to stay the night. Fully equipped kitchen, unlimited free hot shower, free laundry facilities, clean, friendly staff, free unlimited wifi. Would highly recommend. Better than many top 10 campgrounds we’ve been in.

Yes it’s very worn out but the manager was friendly and the camp kitchen was large. Showers were hot and great undercover area outside the kitchen.

Friendly and easy going. Heaps of amenities and cheap rates. Place does need to be cleaned more often especially with a lot of permanent residents.

Friendly and well managed motor and camping ground right next to the Great Taste Cycle Trail, Motueka River and a short walk along the cycle trail to town. Good 4 Square for shopping, a hotel and a great second hand shop. A new leaseholder took over the lease a year ago and Kama, their manager, was welcoming, friendly and efficient. The grounds and cabins were tidy and pretty with lovely trees and plantings. The amenities were clean and tidy and well stocked with anything you may need when camping. The covered courtyard outside the kitchen was love to sit in and wile away the afternoon. The showers were new and excellent. The washing machine was free, which was a nice touch. Overall, the campground is well cared for and the other tenants were friendly, quiet and respectful. I will be coming here again to camp. It was a great place to stop for a couple of days when I was having a break on the Great Taste Cycle Trail.

This campground is run down. Common area has missing wallboards, buildings have broken windows. Our room had cat hair all over the duvet. Heater was broken off the wall. Would not recommend.

Rustic country place. lots of fresh air. trees. peace full. Good kitchen,toilets etc.Fulls up quick. Cheers.
