Waihi Gorge Campsite
Was only 2 other campers and they were well spread out. There was a frost when i arrived on Saturday so was expecting the same on Sunday i woke up to 10 degrees and no frost. Very nice place to spend a night with only nature as my companion.

Beautiful DOC campground. $8/person/night. There are flush toilets. There is water available but it must be boiled before drinking or using for cooking. Alongside a beautiful stream. Feels isolated.

A beautiful Doc Camp with flush toilets and plenty of water on tap. Definitely worth $8 a night per person and loads of places to camp with the river right there. Will visit again.

Campsite offers large grassy areas perfect for tents and has flushing toilets. Friendly camp host when we were there. Had a lovely time watching the bullies and brown trout

Great, quiet, easy to find, but needs hot showers even if you have to pay like all other Doc campsites in nz, put in the amenities now before the tourist come back and make nz a better place to camp

What a great spot! Def worth the 8dollars per person and one of the best Doc sites we stayed at during our 30day trip. Us and only 2 other campers were there in the beginning of March. Cool river to take a dip in, beautiful stars at night. Highly recommendable on the day of pick up in Christchurch

Nice peaceful spot with lovely views and countryside. Clean flushing toilets. Really enjoyed our 3 day stay here.
