This is a quaint little hotel about a 15 minute walk from town with amazing sea views. The staff was all very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed. We stayed in one of the garden rooms that I would highly recommend. The room was decorated nicely, but was a tad small, but you are just in there to sleep anyway. Having the cafe there was also very nice to be able to grab breakfast before heading out for the day. We would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

Erin does a wonderful job welcoming guests at this stunning Kaikoura boutique hotel which has beautifully restored rooms with sea views and personal touches. Enjoy a relaxing wine and delicious platter taking in spectacular views before dining out.

Lovely treat to stay there before heading up to Marlborough after leaving work later than planned. My room was welcoming and warm. Had a very comfy bed. The sound of the waves lulled me to sleep. It was wonderful to relax have coffee and warm pastries, watching the waves and chatting with Jen.

Nice little hotel. Location was great for us right next to the dolphin encounter office. Super views of lake from our room! Parking available

We has 2 rooms, a hotel room with balcony and a courtyard room. The courtyard room was very small and had no soundproofing. The hotel room had side balcony with sea view, bigger than the other room but still quite small. Both were very clean. Shower room adequate and lovely toiletries but small scratchy towels. Tv was supposed to have Netflix and be able to cast but neither worked, luckily we had great weather so weren't in the room for long periods of time. The hotel is in a lovely location, can't fault the view - stunning- and is within walking distance of restaurants and shops.Staff are lovely and the hotel rooms good value for money. I wouldn't recommend the courtyard rooms.

Nice little place for quiet brunch, overlooking the sea on a calm day.Eggs Bennie with mushrooms on the side was lovely and value for money. As we went on a holiday the rates were the same as a normal day. My meal was hit. Which I do appreciate.Coffee was okay.Menu was small but adequate. Although no waffles, pancakes or French toast. We would visit again.

Cute rooms, lovely gardens. Booked here because we thought we could get dinner, however, they don't do dinner only drinks. No nibbles! Was told the cafe opens at 8am for coffee we arrived at 8.20 am doors locked so no breakfast or coffee! Also our room was extremely tiny. Be careful what you book as they have many options which we didn't realize. Overall clean and pleasant.

Overnight stay on way home from Queen Charlotte track. Arrived 8pm. Email a couple days earlier had advised key would be in a box after 6pm. Never been there before so was not that happy to be trying to find the box in subdued lighting at back of the building and figure out where my room might be (found in the courtyard). No contact details on welcome card so googled a contact number that went to voicemail. Then rang the emergency number to ask how to get the tv to work. Advised Satellite TV only (whatever that means) and need to use own personal accounts to sign into apps like Netflix. Main TV channels kept dropping out. Couldn’t open wardrobe. Body wash etc on windowsill more than arms reach from shower. Receptionist off-handish in the morning. Room looks nice and clean, bed was comfy and Nespresso is a nice touch but overall this accomodation is overpriced.
