A small Library that has everything you need, small area for kids, reading area, print section, justice of peace, computer area and also has second floor with plenty of parking

This is a rating for the Justice of Peace that was there yesterday, not the library itself.He was very rude. I was confused and the instructions were unclear on what I was supposed to do especially since it was my first time coming to see one. I suffer from high anxiety, and going there alone in itself was a big deal for me. I approached his desk and was silently about to put my number in the bucket next to him when his voiced boomed at me.He was extremely dismissive and shouted at me like I was lesser than. I don’t know if it was because of the colour of my skin or what, because I didn’t even get the chance to say anything to him. So what else could it have been? I was very clearly confused and didn’t know what to do but he still chose to be unnecessarily cold towards me. I kept my calm and tried to navigate my way yet he still continued.I understand he’s there to volunteer his time, but nobody has the right to speak to people the way he did to me that day.I walked out in tears because of the embarrassment and shame he gave me by being so rude. He may have been overwhelmed by the line of people waiting, but he didn’t need to take it out on me, God forbid anyone else. I couldn’t help but think of how he was to treat people who only have English as a second language!I’m not going to say I’m at fault for being confused, because I can admit to that, I just want to know:How many decades has he lived through and he still doesn’t know how to exercise basic human decency?

It's quite big and offers a fair collection of books and some essential services. Went there to get a JP attestation today.

Staff are always super friendly and helpful (sometimes there's a but of a wait to be seen but a bell on the desk gets their attention quickly enough). Happy to look up items, show how self-check works and wriggle and rhyme on a Monday is great for youngsters.

Rang up this morning to asked for something but the lady that answered the phone she doesn’t sound like a person that supposed to work there. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. Never asked anyone t!!!what you want ? very disrespectful should say how can I help you today? very easy and professional.

Awesome service from Papatoetoe Staff went there to do printing and copy, It was my first time in any Library in Auckland, they ask you if you need help right when you enter the door. Incredible service from Farah (Indian) hope i get his name right.

The best branch in Auckland! Excellent Atmosphere here. Love the spacious parking here and nearby shops opposite library is a handy walk. Staff here are always willing to help with a smile and very friendly and good setting of computers to use here I only want to travel to this branch then my own local one as it suits my needs :-)

A relatively small but spacious library.Ample parking,friendly staff.Only downside is no washroom(Public washroom is a mins away thw)
