Adventure South NZ

Have just ridden The Dustan trail and 3 gorges. Would thoroughly recommend this company, well organised and the driver/guides did all the lifting and organising food at the stops, plenty of yummy food and drinks. Accommodation was clean and comfy. Bikes great and any adjustments needed were done by one of the quides. Thanks for making it an enjoyable holiday and being able to see some more of our beautiful country.

Our group of four biked the South Lakes trip for 7 days and had a great time. The trip was well organized, the scenery diverse and often breathtaking, the bike routes well-chosen (mostly low to no traffic) and our guide Rich Mortiboys was excellent. Rich was a wealth of knowledge about the areas we rode through (history, geology, biology and more) and went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly for all of us. We had a small group of six riders and it was a great group. Overall the trip was a good value and I would recommend if for anyone looking for an experience to get away from it all and bike through lots of gorgeous wide open spaces.

The West Coast Wilderness Ride was very well organised, great communication before hand and on the ride / tour, good bikes, good food, good lengths of days, good side trips of the bikes as well. Highly recommend would ride with Adventure South NZ most happily again

Loved every moment of the tour! I did the Marlborough & West Coast cycle ride and it was a blast, not only the riding but the hotels and restaurants that were part of the package were excellent. Our guide, Peter was amazing, always available, helping, and giving more then expected. He gave us lessons on the area, the animals, birds and offered extra biking and walks.Healthy snacks were provided along with tea stops in the morning. The rental bike was very nice but could have used a few more gears.Highly recommended!

Jono and Martin were exceptional tour guides for the Alps to Ocean trip. My mom, dad, sister, and I had a fantastic experience while taking in the breathtaking New Zealand views alongside kind-hearted group members. I really enjoyed getting to converse with members of the group and our trip leaders through shared meals, and the glamping accommodation was definitely a highlight. We’ll be back for another trip (hopefully very soon)! Thank you for making our vacation so fun and memorable!

Alps to Ocean was a fabulous experience and exceeded my expectations. Hosts Pete and Richard could not have done more to make our trip fun, informed, seamless and well fed. Accomodation varied but was always clean, centrally located and more than adequate. Burnside Homestead on the last night was a standout! I had dietary allergies and there was no problem providing for my needs. The bikes were fabulous! I wish the Sinch bikes were available in Australia. Some of the riding was a step up from what I was expecting, but I enjoyed the challenge. I went as an older solo traveller and immediately felt part of the group. Looking forward to my trip next March :-)

A truly amazing adventure! The views, the mountain tracks, the variety of the terrain all made this a fantastic ride. All the accommodation was excellent and the food fabulous. Thankyou Mike for all your organising and planning ahead. You had so much knowledge to share with us about New Zealand and made our trip really memorable. Thankyou for picking amazing lunch and break spots so we could appreciate the beauty of New Zealand, the hot tea and coffee and most of all your checked table cloth and apron. Excellent!

We LOVED our trip on the Lake Dunstan Trail and Otago Rail Trail with Adventure South. I'd never ridden on a group trip before but loved all the benefits it brought - All logistics were taken care of but we never felt rushed, it was fun riding with a small diverse group, and the support vehicle meant we got to experience so much more beyond the trail. They arranged fantastic food options and a lovely range of accommodation from quirky rural B&Bs to motels. The guides were wonderful and read the group well - they were organised and knowledgeable but let us ride along at our own pace too. . They made the whole week very easy for us and loads of fun!

What a wonderful trip we had. Adventure South were an amazing group to travel with, our leaders were so helpful, fun and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend them. Nothing was too much trouble, the food wines and accommodations were all spot on. And the ride was, well, breathtaking. Thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you. We will be back.

My recent Alps to Ocean adventure was so much more than I had expected. The communication beforehand made everything clear, the guides went above and beyond my expectations, the accommodation was fantastic and all the little things (daily briefings, morning teas, helpful assistance for those unfamiliar with an e-bike etc) made the ride so much more enjoyable. I would encourage anyone thinking about riding the Alps to Ocean, or tackling any of the other adventures that Adventure South offer, to make contact with them and to embrace the opportunity.
