Ranui Motel | We are a small but friendly motel. Owner operated since 2003. We pride ourselves on great service and a friendly atmosphere. Our units are clean and comfortable. We cater to a large number of clients including truck drivers, contractors and sales reps who pass through regularly. . There is a swimming pool for the family and those hot summer days.. We are five minutes walk from town and golf course, and one minute to local supermarket. Come and enjoy our many rivers, beaches and bushwalks, play a round of golf or go hunting and fishing, or simply stay the night before you head off on your east cape adventure.

Wouldn’t stay here again.... the room was so damp it smelled musty. The photos on the website although are exact they were clearly taken years ago. Very dated. There was a group of us staying and 2 of the other couples had serious ant issues. One chap had ants in the bed. I’ve only rated 1 cos it wouldn’t allow a zero rating.

The owners were so lovely and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Makes all the difference when you are greated with a warm welcome. Thank you for having us.

Booked in late...but not a problem. Unit dated but clean and tidy and has everything you need. Comfy bed, just great after a long day. Would stay again for sure. Has a pool, great for after work in this heat.

We are from Palmy and come up to Opotiki to visit my poppa who grew up in and is buried there. Our stay was relaxing, quiet and worth every cent. The pool is big and quiet as it is down the back of the property, so you can be sure you won't annoy the other guests! We took our dog with us and that was no hassle. The owners are friendly and we felt at home instantly. Whenever we come up, we will stay at Ranui.
