Cathedral Cove Water Taxi

A fast way to go to the cathedral cove which only takes 10 minutes. The boat was small but very clean. The photo is of their tickets which was really cool and environmental friendly.Remember to find the staff on the beach to buy tickets earlier during peak season and public holiday.

Despite other peoples reviews, we tried out Cathedral Cove Water Taxi and were absolutely STOKED with the service Hayden offered. We did as their website said. We checked on their Facebook page on the morning of the day we wanted to go and they were open. Considering that Catherdral Cove Beach is shut currently due to walkway conditions, it was either an expensive boat tour to see it or try the Water Taxi. Plus we didn't have a whole lot of time to spend on a boat tour, so Hayden's service was perfect. Hayden was informative, friendly, funny and (my wife says) handsome. We got to see different angles of the attraction, kids got to see fish in the water, it was great. Well worth the small cost and a perfect day trip from Onemana.Keep up the great work Hayden. When we are back in NZ, we will be back.

Didn't work on Saturday in early January during school holidays, and no notice or sign about it (neither on the beach nor online on the web/facebook).It was a nice summery weather the whole week and no apparent reason for it to be not working, while other water tours were operating as usual.May be the service is good when operating, but it's definitely not reliable.

Highly recommend to anyone that is traveling to Cathedral Cove. Super friendly and helpful service. Great local knowledge about the area. Taxi was on time and well organised. Easy to find on Hahei Beach. Our taxi driver even saved a life while parked up at the beach - Legend!

We enjoyed a wonderful 30 minutes on the water, out to Cathedral Cove for a bit of time there (of course, no one is allowed on the beach currently) before heading back to Hahei Beach. Hayden was an excellent host. Highly recommended.

No reply to phone or text messageNeed a better system to communicate with potential customers with a daily update.The flag was up at the car park but no answer on the telephone number.I’m sure when it is working it is a great service but we have tried three times and it’s never operating during our visits due to a variety of reasons

One of the best experience

When visiting the Coromandel peninsula, the Cathedral Cove is one scenic location you must visit. The only 2 ways to access Cathedral Cove is via walking track &/or the water taxi. It's a nice hike through a bit of NZ native bush, with a beautiful view of the ocean, & you'll probably be lucky enough to see some native birds too.It took me less than an hour to reach the cove. You can take your bathers & a picnic (no shops on location) with you & spend the day there basking in the sun & swimming.If you wish, you can choose to catch the water taxi back to Hãhei for a small fee $15 adults $10 child each way.
