Just returned from a trip of Northland with Gold Tours.The accommodation was excellent. The food was good at Opononi and at the Duke of Marlborough. It was not good however at the Taipa Beach Resort and for some reason their swimming pool had not been made ready for guests and was filthy.At least 6 of us came back with Covid. We may have contracted it during our travels but it might have been a good idea to have Covid checks for everyone on the coach as a lot of people were coughing and sneezing.I think it would be good to arrange different age groups going together as quite a few people were older than us and we did not have a lot in common with them. There was a generalization due to this and the music at the Opononi venue was a bit old for us.One other point I found very distressing was the racist remarks and jokes. It is actually an offense to behave like this and I think some sort of mention about general behavior that is to be expected on the trip would be worthwhile.It was good value for money. The bus driver and our tour guide were hospitable and accommodating.

I'll be doing a south island trip soon with them . Very easy to work with group of people

Value for money. Pauline was a terrific leader and Stephanie (bus driver) was great. Having luggage delivered to and collected from room at every stop was an added bonus. Had a bit of trouble with correspondence from office prior to departure but perhaps Covid played a part. Would recommend.

Great fun and exceptionally good value. We are off on another one down south with friends.

Pat and Jeanette , driver and leader, were patient and caring i n sometimes trying circumstances. Competent and compassionate. Highlight for me was In the Steps Of Kupe" at Opononi

Our tour group of 20 aged 70 to 88 enjoyed our Northland tour. The commentary, scenic stops, accommodation and food could not be faulted. Nothing was left out even though Northland had serious cyclone damage.I commend the organiser to seniors who like to travel.
