The sandwich I bought was fine but one star for the appalling policy of not serving coffee in crockery despite having seating on site. Incredibly disappointing that you only serve coffee in takeaway cups. Sure people can bring a reusable cup but how likely is that when you're likely in town to go on a walk? On top of that, the pre-bottled cold brew I bought was past its best buy date.

Absolutely amazing bakery!! Great atmosphere and really nice coffee. Would give more stars if I could. Well worth the detour off the motorway. So glad to discover this place.

Meat pies and donuts were delicious, as was the coffee. Max was awesome and our kids really enjoyed the hot chocolate.

Lucky Paekakariki to have this new food destination.Well worth the trip to this lovely bakery/cafe. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the pies are divine - the sandwiches are yum - and the bakery is the best!! Always take a loaf (or two) of the fabulous sourdough selection home.

The food here is amazing! The bakers do a great job.Unfortunately though, the lady on the counter is consistently unfriendly as I’ve been here multiple times now and not enjoyed her service which is a shame considering how good the food is!The drinks today were a bit of a let down however they have been good in the past.

A very disappointing experience. If you buy the same pastries at the supermarket you will get the same mediocre quality. The croissants are huge in size, not in flavour or texture. I was told the bakers had been trained by a French professional, but it surely doesn’t show. Either they have never seen a French croissant, or they don’t really care.

We have been big fans of Olde Beach Waikanae since the early Covid days. It is great to now have 2 places to choose from. Different locations, same great coffee and treats! One of my favourite sandwiches - Smoked Chicken & Tasty! Accompanied by a perfect soy mocha!
