Chris at Kayak HQ is awesome, such a wealth of knowledge and experience and shares it so freely. He makes sure you understand and know what you are buying and throws in tips and tricks when applying your gear to real life situations. He is very thorough, I experienced this in regards to getting my spray skit to fit we went back and forth from the manufacture 3 times to get one fitting perfectly in the meantime lent me one to use. I highly rate Kayak HQ and would recommend a visit. Chris is a huge asset to the Kayaking community, thanks Chris

I am not one to write reviews online so this is a first for me.If you are looking for a roof rack in the Nelson region may sure you call into Kayak HQ. Chris is very knowledgeable and has plenty of stock across several different brands. He came up with several different options for me to try after I had no luck elsewhere due to my particular vehicle design. I will definitely be back later in the year when new vehicle arrives. Great product knowledge and customer service at Kayak HQ which seems to be lacking at many stores these days.

Chris is super helpful, with many years of paddle sports experience. A great range of surfski and kayak (ocean and river) gear in store, and roof rack fitting service too. Definitely pop in!

I bought a small rack attachment from Chris and through my own lack of knowledge the product didn't quite work for my bike and there were no alternatives, Chris went out of his way to find solutions to make the product work for me, even dissembling his old bike in the evening to give me a piece to make a workable solution. Highly recommend Kayak HQ

For someone who has never owned roof racks before Chris did an awesome job thoroughly explaining what options best suited my car and kayak. Getting them shipped was really quick and Chris installed them and gave a really good briefing on how to use them. Would definately recommend, thanks Chris.
