I purchased a car sight-unseen from Palmerston North but organised for the seller to drop it off at The Engine Room for a pre-purchase inspection. I think they did a good thorough inspection and gave an honest written summary with photos. The car was by no means in perfect condition but I purchased it anyway and 6-months later I’m still happy with it & convinced their inspection was accurate & honest. Definitely recommend if you need a mechanic in Palmerston North.

The guys at Engine Room really know their stuff, especially when it comes to bimmers. They are pretty much the only place that I go to for my E36, be it about getting my WOF done, fixing and replacing some parts for my car or just any general service really. Been recommending this place to some of my friends who drives european cars, mostly bimmers, and yeah they also felt the same about Engine Room.Thank you Richard and everyone at the engine room for taking a really good care of my car.Keep up the good work boys!Cheers!- K

Excellent Customer Service, spotless workshop and offices. The Engine Room looks after my C6 RS6 and my VW and have always been well priced with top notch work. They now maintain our work Van!

Richard and the team service most of my local family's vehilces, from a Toyota RAV4, to a temperamental Alfa Romeo 147 GTA, and many in between. Richard works in well with us as customers, and I personally like the fact he is straight up with me. The Engine Room may not be the cheapest in town, but for me and my family, they are the best.
