i think the way phillip was treated by so called professionals was abysmal.you should be able to treat patients with disabilities a lot better than what you do .hope this doesnt happen to others in your care.i would not recommend or visit this establishment in the future

When i visited Asthma & Respiratory in Greerton TGA Bay of Plenty on Friday 10th 2018 , When i first arrived and meet the receptionist who was nice , gave me a form to fill out and i returned it , which was going fine that's why i have given 2 Stars. As for the rest of my appointment, it went from lost, Confusion, then the nurse ( Debbie ) was being Sarcastic cause i could not remember going to the hospital in 2012 , then the nurse treated me like i was slow. Even when we could not agree or i could not answer aquestion from the past, the nurse ( Debbie ) got in a argumentative mood, which made me panic even more , i had to ask the nurse ( Debbie ) to change the subject as it was going no where and the nurse ( Debbie ) was making my Panic Attack worse which makes things even harder for me to concentrate . Then the next problem,( i had said i almost past out a little last time i visited Asthma & Respiratory). Then the nurse ( Debbie ) kept asking me where is it about you passing out the nurse ( Debbie) asked me a few times which was making my Panic Attack worse each time she mentioned passing out the fear set in harder , then i interrupted the nurse ( Debbie ) to ask her if she has read my file and the nurse (Debbie)told me she has , so i tried to explain to her ( Debbie )what i suffer, she ( Debbie) was not interested in what i had to say, so i said that's it , i am going and got up and left the room went back to reception area and got my wife and granddaughter and went to leave (by this time i was having a full on panic attack). Just when i thought it was over , The nurse( Debbie) comes from her room and approached me , my wife and granddaughter saying all I (nurse Debbie ) was doing was asking some medical questions and he (Phillip) got up and left in a HUFF, well that really hurt my feelings and i answered in a not very not nice way, as we were out of the building and then the nurse ( Debbie) says she going to ring the Police which made me feel bullied as well, as we were going but i added some more not so nice words. It's very hard to live with a mental health illness that makes you not want to be alive. To have a nurse not been able to compare someone in a HUFF To a Panic Attack just proves to me i am not worth the space . I am on a few medications for the problem i suffer so trying to remember things is so much harder when most of my medication cause sleepiness and other side affects, as for the nurse she showed no thought to how i felt and was not interested in what i had to say from the start, till the appointment ended. So i have to miss out on health care again cause of this Mental Illness i suffer, and the way individuals treat people with a mental illness. I will never go to that place again , that's another problem going back to a place where i have had a major Panic Attack. It's took me a week to come right , hence i am now filling in my review . Have been for 2 Visits before and they went fine.Well i finally got a reply from Asthma & Respiratory Centre, 254 Chadwick Rd, Greerton, Tauranga 3112 on 28-08-2018. was not was i expected but this is what small minded people do when they are in the wrong, they do bully tactics by sending a stranger( Chairman) Micheal Carswell to my home, and with a (threatening manner and attitude) to serve me a trespass notice because i have wrote the truth on there review page , Well do not ask for reviews to be left, if you can not except what peoples response going to be, bullying people and writing fake reviews on your review page is disgusting when they are written by The Chairman and not a patience. My experience has been a emotional roller coaster caused by these individuals bullying me as i suffer Mental Illness I have spoken to Family and friends and different Mental Health and Government departments about my concerns with the way i been treated. My Family and Friends i have spoken to will not be continue to give Donations to your Greerton office any longer.I have left the mater with The Hon Dr David Clark , Health minister as i have been asked to do.

A safe, non judgemental, friendly, and supportive place. After an educational short course to help you understand and manage your COPD condition, clients are encouraged to take part in managed rehab exercise groups at the Centre at their own pace. I have found these of great value especially when self motivation is low. The professional physiotherapist and nurse take an active, knowledgeable, and caring role in supporting the needs of each individual and it's a happy place also to socialise with others of similar health needs.Thank you Helen and Trina.
