My mum purchased an over 55's townhouse in the Mary Britten project Rolleston on Lowes Rd. I got my mum to make a list of any issues over the first 3 months to be remedied and made contact with Mike Greers follow up team. Although it was a rocky process to begin with, Glen and his follow up team at Mike Greer Homes have now taken care of our repairs and all have been completed through great communication and the appropriate trades addressing their individual fix ups. It was daunting for my mum and me selling up her home in Dunedin and finding the right development close by our home in Rolleston. Overall my mum is really happy with the village and the way it is progressing. The size of her home is perfect for her, the layout of the village and proximity to other units is refreshingly ideal! The Mike Greer team and their tradies are very respectful of the site, and the existing owners, when carrying on with the rest of the development, it has also kept my mum entertained seeing it progress. For anyone purchasing is is important that you note any promises or changes made as part of the Sale & Purchase Agreement. Also you will be assigned a follow up team member so its important to note any remedial work over the first 3 months and get the appropriate trades back for their individual responsibilities. Be careful in making and ordered list to submit after 90 days. Its very important that the initial trades person who carried out the work, should also be responsible for anything that needs to be followed up under warranty. Mike Greers provides a list of all trades who worked on your home, which is great too!

We own a well maintained and not very old house that was built by Mike Greer Homes and leaked like a colander in multiple locations during recent heavy rains. An inspection by an independent roofing specialist identified several issues, including some latent defects. MGH declined to assess the damage or offer any assistance as the house was no longer covered by its Master Build guarantee.Apparently, they believe that ‘more is more’ and ‘make every effort to exceed customer expectations and to create homes that stand the test of time in terms of both design and construction’. Yeah, right!

Bought new house from Mike greer homes. After 4 and half years, condensation starts to appear in half of the double glazed window pane. Called the maintenance person, was told manufacturer would contact for resolution but after not hearing anything for almost 3 weeks I found out that person has quit, someone else has taken over and told me to send proof by email, promised “something” will happen. But up until now. I still have not heard anything. They are very good at putting you off by saying: “yes someone will contact you” but in the end, it is unexpected disappointment from this company!

We built our first ever new build with Mike Greer in Rangiora and are absolutely thrilled with our home and the service we received from them. Extremely professional and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely use them again for our next home.

We’ve had a similar experience to other reviewers with poor follow up service after move in .Then asking you to contact them on info@mikegreer with you’re details , when their lack of response is the problem in the first place, is classic .

Average experience went through 3 project managers as they kept leaving.Had a few complaints in which they have advised the will use as a learning experience as I signed the contract -- make sure you get everything in writing!A pretty house doesn't mean an economical house - who doesn't insulate their inside walls in NZ!? Love being able to hear the TV through the wall even on next to no volume, and having the bathroom plumbing up a bedroom wall...Read the fine print and ask heaps of questions especially if your a first time builder like me, ask around friends and family and find out what to ask because I obviously was very mislead to think my sales manager and project manager would help e as a first home buyer :(

We built with Mike Greer homes in 2020. We found them excellent to work with no problem was to big or small. Very happy with the end results..Having a site manager was also great took alot of building worries away.

Mike Greer Homes is a very difficult business to deal with, after sales support and service is VERY poor to non-existent . They don't really want to have to deal with you once you have moved in, everything with them is a problem and all they do is put up barriers to fixing something and they are very slow in responding. Experience would suggest there are better companies to build with. Multiple failures with multiple products, installations and leaking.

Where you can't know what quality home will be built or constant supply of products Mike Greer have history which is important if you don't want problems with your build down the road. The design of my home is very user friendly and attractive.
