Excellent service by Glenn. About a year ago I urgently needed a headlight ballast and amp replaced and they were the only ones who were able to fit me in that day for the repair. Recently, the same headlight was playing up and the warranty repair was all sorted with no hassle. Highly recommended

Please avoid this workshop. They will rip you off and lead you to unnecessary repairs! I have two bad experiences for getting WOF from this place for my 6 year old Toyota (in excellent condition) in the past 13 months. Last year, I randomly went to this workshop to do a WOF check. They failed my WOF claiming that I should replace my front break pads. I think my front pads still had some life but I thought they were doing that for my own safety. I got the job done in Toyota Wellington. This year, I repeated the same mistake and went there again for a WOF check and oil change. Surprisingly, they called my at the end of the day and said that my rear break pads must be replaced this time. I asked how much it costs and they said they need to calculate and give me a call in the morning. Tomorrow morning, they called me and said it will cost around $590 for an oil change (+ filter), WOF, and pads replacement. And interestingly, they told me that the work is done (!) and I can pick up my car any time! In a professional world, you give a quote and if the customer is happy with your offer, then you have permission to go ahead and do the job. I could simply argue and tell them and they had no permission to change the pads but I thought my time worth more than arguing with people like them. I got a quote for the same job from Toyota Wellington and their rate was cheaper (around $50 cheaper) and we all know Toyota rates are quite high. So technically, without my permission, they did the job and charged me more than Toyota! My personal experience is that they intentionally find faults in your car during a WOF inspection and try to do the job themselves to earn some money. Please avoid this place.

Nice enough guys but feeling ripped off. First time I took my car in they had a look and told me a headlight needed replacing - they rang someone up there and then and gave me a quote for one which I appreciated. Just under a month later I ring them up to organise the headlight installation and they confirmed that the quote had not changed. Couple days later after they had installed it, I was charged over double what was originally quoted! (not including labour costs). Was not alerted to the fact that the quote had changed and was a bit of umming and arring when I made them aware of the original quote. Have also never heard of a mechanic to tell their customers to ring them to see if there car is ready? Overall left frustrated and paying way too much!

What happens when you cross an intricate watch maker with a dirty electrician in the realist suburb of Te Whanganui a Tara. Newtown Auto Electrical is the answer. Be a genius, let them fix your car

Amazing shop with great service. We had our old Honda fixed (broken starter motor) and it was done so quickly. The owner was super friendly and was very honest with us. We had no trouble with the car after it got fixed there!Thank you for a great service.

Glenn is a nice guy and my auto transmission flush was quick and successful. They did not renew my WOF for a few reasons. Some of them were understandable, but they wanted a ton of money to replace all four of my tires - see attached photos. These tires are nowhere near in need of replacing. They also do not label the keys of the cars they have in hand. I had to try and figure out which ford key was mine. I am pleased with my requested service, very disappointed with everything else.

Stay clear. If you want reliable work done go elsewhere. Absolutely no communication while my car was there. Charge a harm and leg. Left me with a broken reverse camera that took somewhere else to fix as i did not trust them after not being honest. they cut the reverse camera wire and never told me. I was then told that my reverse camera wasn't compatible and needed to be replaced. Witch is untrue. Rude staff as well. Will never recommend or go there again.
