I was pleasantly surprised at this one! I lived in South Korea for 4 years and the quality of meat was as good as any cheaper BBQ place over there. Side dishes while limited were tasty and authentic. They have a liquor license now for those reading earlier reviews . The only downside for me was that they didn't serve any soups - a must for a complete Korean meal but I suspect most Kiwis wouldn't be too bothered.

Sorry to say, was soo disappointed in this place. Cheaply done. The two high school boys at the counter were friendly enough but no instructions regarding raw meat put on a plate, then you cook on a tinfoil covered element that was too slow, at your table. People need to know DO NOT MIX any food back on to a plate that has had raw meat. I also chose a bay Marie heated" meal which was horrible and almost cold. Dry cold chips were another choice. There was a cake stand with a few cakes

The best Korean in the hawkes bay, fried chicken was hot and fresh. No complaints. Didn't try the buffet this time but will be back

Amazing food and being able to cook your own meat is something different and makes the experience fun and delightful! Super kid friendly our toddler loved being able to help cook and lots of options to choose from. Amazing staff and loved being able to go have a game of pool down the back afterwards. Highly recommended. Can’t wait to take more of the family there, super affordable!

Should have gone with our gut feeling and walked out when we saw the kitchen and the very dry food in the bain marie, the front of house were dressed as if they were lounging at home on a Sunday, chef the same, looked like two school boys.What put me off the most was the dumplings, 1st batch they chucked cause they burnt them, start again, not sure if cooked, so they handled the dumplings and probed to see if was cooked, told them in the end, no thanks, im not eating something you've man handled, hell no thanks, then fake can cheese on chips which tasted and looked like vomit, which was meant to have bacon, but didnt have any, we were the only tableOver priced for what it is.

The hot food was cold. Rice was very dry. The raw food stuck to the tin foil on the hot plate. No table service, just 2 young guys sitting at the front counter. Would not go there again.

We were extremely disappointed with the quality and selection of food. The cleanliness was disgusting. The staff were not friendly and the explanation we got of how it all worked was very brief and not clear. There was very little food left to choose from. The quality looked really dodgy, nothing like the photos online. While we were eating their was a young man mopping the floor right by us, the water and the mop looked very dirty.I don't actually think it was value for money and don't think they deserve even one star, I'm sorry to say. Would not recommend to anyone.

Terrible, me and my mates came in place was dead besides two elderly folks came in well after us. Complete bar but not serving alcohol. Didn’t accept my student ID for a discount but that’s fine don’t mind. The food was gross, flies on the food, all the cooked things were dry and/or soggy. No flavour. Th only good thing was the watery raro and the attempt of a trifle. Definitely do not recommend, no wonder they offered to pay AFTER we had eaten instead of before. The wait staff were quite rude, one lady didn’t acknowledge us at all. And the other did not know what she was doing. The atmosphere was nothing but dead.
