Nice spot for a rest. When we were there, there was a coffee van. That was a bonus.Unfortunately there aren't any rubbish bins here.

Just before Waitaki bridge on ur right if u r driving from Glenavy towards Oamaru. Picnic tables are available. So u can enjoy a nice little wee tea time with ur family. Surrounding area is calm and quiet while a river is flowing.. a public toilet facility is also available but that is not the best or well maintained. But for the time being it's fair enough.

Nice rest area with toilets and a short forest track that follows a stream. Great place to rest on SH1

Great place to stop for a rest if driving Dunedin <> Christchurch - about the perfect half-way point and has a toilet and is well maintained.
