Staff were friendly and helpful giving us advice on suitable trails. It was our first time using a shuttle, well worth it and the driver was super helpful. Other bikers were also friendly and helpful.The trails were super smooth compared with what we’re used to in the UK. First ride in NZ so only did grade 3 but Te Poaka was amazing, as recommended by the staff. The hard tails we hired were more than suitable for what we did.The only thing that I’d change would be the brake levers which has too much movement.Would love to go again. If we come again we’ll stay for longer.

I use the shuttle service regularly. The drivers are always super helpful (I'm short so sometimes need a hand lifting my bike on/off the trailer) Great price for a great service.

What an amazing place. Bike hire is cheap, and there are plenty of tracks to suite all fitness levels, with amazing scenery all around.

My son and I had a great day mountain biking in this area. After mountain biking Colorado California and a few other mountains this place really has some amazing trails. The team at the base where we rented our bikes from were super helpful and very knowledgeable both of the bikes and the mountain. The mountain is one I would call very difficult and not for beginners.

Excellent way to rent an embt and explore the Forrest. The bike was a Trek, and very well maintained. The staff was super friendly. The Forrest has plenty of tracks for all kind of expertise in mountain biking. The loop track is perfect to do in a 4 hour rental. Give you even some time to do a small track between them.

Huge park, great riding for everyone. Bike hire right next to the park and multiple shuttles operating in the park to get you up the hills. Sometimes the network feels a little bit confusing for riding direction and especially for finding a good combination of trails to get back to the hub. But that’s just a little gripe and the park itself is actually overwhelmingly awesome!

I've been in town for a couple of months now and have loved riding the shuttle to experience the Redwoods. Each driver has been great and they do their best to make the experience easy and positive for new and experienced riders. I want to especially thank Danley for being extra sweet with the music and going out of his way to be kind. Everyone here has been friendly and I really appreciate that! Well worth the money and I'd encourage anyone to come for a day or a week.

This MTB track is so beautiful, a mixture of Redwood trees and NZ native bush. So stunning, great fun tracks for all levels.

This place is simply excellent. Fun for the whole family as long as you can ride a bike. Plenty of easy tracks for the kids and family and elderly people. The more difficult tracks are excellent for the better riders and are extremely good fun. They also have a shuttle service that runs most of the time taking people to the upper faster tracks so that you can master these and enjoy them again and again. Highly recommended place and a must do if you are into mountain biking.
