Found this place by cha ce when walking around Riccarton Mall. Food was surprisingly nice and the service was great too. My group of 7 tried various dishes and my favourite was the fish fillet curry noodles. Generous portions all round.

Food is reaaaalllyyyy good! Sadly, a lot of food is not available. But all the food we ordered are fantastic. Drinks also very nice. I really like barley drink and their barley drink is so good. Staff is very friendly, explain everything very patiently and food serves really fast too. I can’t find anything bad

Delicious food, found far away from home. Love that I can get the taste of Malay food, very similar to what it was back home. I have been coming in every day for the past three days.Wish they can have a branch in Dunedin.

Tasty food with generous portion size !! When many restaurants in Christchurch are busy with hiking their prices and cutting down their portion sizes, PappaRich still offers a good portion for a decent price. Food is quite delicious and friendly staffs. Clean and tidy inside ❤️ Been there twice already and hope they keep up their good work.

*UpdateSo recently went back to Papparich after 2 months. They have more on their menus now which is very nice. The kids tried their choconana shake which was quite yummy. The best item I ordered though was my 3 layered tea. Best I've drunk so far.For meals, we ordered the nasi lemak, western chicken meal and the beef horfun. The chicken in the nasi was nice and crispy but I did spot one part which wasn't cooked thoroughly. When I pointed it out to the waitress she seemed a little defensive stating sometimes the way of preparation meant the chicken could be pink. But this wasn't just pink. It looked uncooked. I didn't argue further. I wasn't even looking for a change in food as I had already finished it half way. Just wanted to feedback was all. Anyway, the beef horfun was really tasty but the meat was quite hard. When we pointed it out to her, she again wasn't as receptive. You would think at least she could say thank you for your feedback, we will try again. The western meal was average. So would I come back again? For the tea definitely. The horfun... maybe not the beef horfun. Try the combination or seafood horfun maybe. I would have given it 4 stars but tbh the waitress left a slight sour taste in my mouth. The experience was made less pleasant so. Which was a huge shame as my last review, what saved the day were the waiters. Ah well. Can't win them all.------FIRST REVIEWOkay, to be fair, they had just newly reopened and were having alot of teething problems. My review would be for today only and I'll try to update it in a month's time. For starters the restaurant opened late as the kitchen wasn't ready. That was fine.However there were also many dishes on the menu which were not available. For example the curries were not available and a variety of drinks. Also there was no soup available... so that kind of limited the orders. We ended up with the cha kway teow (which was mediocre at best) and the nasi lemak. As there was no curry we were given the the fried chicken instead. The nasi was a little soggy but the chicken was really tasty. The sambal was also true to taste for nasi style. For drinks we ordered the teh tarik and the milo dinosaur. They were both quite bad. The milo dinosaur which I expected to be nice and sweet was bland and tasteless. I can only imagine it's because there was no condensed milk inside which usually there would alot. I was also not sure whether they actually used milo itself because it definitely didn't taste like milo but some other brand of cocoa. And I've drunk ALOT of milo in my lifetime. I could be wrong. In which case I will try to order it again in a month's time.The only saving grace I felt were the waiters. They were extremely helpful and seemed almost apologetic for the inconvenience. That itself saved this visit.

The service in the restaurant was fast and excellent. Not only it’s fast, but the restaurant is clean. The waitress/waiter is very friendly and easy to talk with. The food is very delicious and flavorful.

The service is efficient and food arrived quite quickly. Nice portion sizes and flavors. The rice meals could do with some more vegetable options, only had 3 thin slices of cucumber. The two teas we ordered were okay but definitely not good value for money. They are small in quantity and bland.

The food looks great, well presented, and fast serving, but it doesn't appeal much to me ( probably personal taste). The customer services are absolutely amazing, very fast, accommodated, and friendly. The place is clean too. The only minus is the noise from the blending/or grinding machine, which really killed the vibes sometimes.
