We love Walking here with our dog on a leadEvery season is so different and we often take photos of blossoming trees in spring and beautiful leaf colours in autumn. Wild birds on the river are great to see. It is easy walking and it is great to see so many of all different ages using the track.

Stunning picturesque views and a good, long but easy walk. The trail is good, with both path and board walk. Good parking also. This place is great and will definitely visit again.

Very run down,They say it is became they don't want to upset the breeding fowl..They don't breed all year..They finally sprayed the gorse and also some Kowhai and just left the dead gorse there as an eyes.. The jetty is dangerous, especially for kids, there is no handrail on one side.It has been like it for months..Weeds are choking what few natives and exotics that are there..

Thoroughly enjoyed the walk around the reserve and it was a good bird watching spot ...hawks, piwakawaka, shoveller ducks, black swans, kotare, mallards, white faced heron, pied stilt, pukeko to name a few

Howarth Memorial Wetlands
Exciting loop walk (easy/medium). Lots of foraging opportunities and edible trees. The wetland has look outs and a lot of the track has gravel or boardwalks. Easily walkable in an hour or less.
