Must go for any peanut butter lover! The highlight was surely the tour - which is free but do sign up beforehand (at their website) to avoid disappointment.Thankful for our host, Rachel who was full of peanut butter puns and did a great job guiding us through the factory. We were unfortunate that there was a power issue that meant we couldn’t see the assembly line working (first time in Rachel’s 18 years, she said!) but she still made it interesting and for sure worth the hour or so.Just a thought though… not specific to the tour but the eatery… seems to be a bit of a wasted opportunity to not have more dishes with Pic’s peanut butter incorporated. There is a recipe book for many peanut butter infused culinary delights (and the wall shows some too) so somehow I thought these will be offered at the eatery. Anyway, just a little quibble there.Still very happy to have been there, done that, and going home with some jars of peanut butter including a unique packaging where peanut butter is stored in little packets called slugs, which I haven’t seen available anywhere else.

You can find cheap pic’s peanut butter here! And know about how it comes from. Be aware that tour needs to be booked in advance.

We had an awesome tour through the small family owned factory. The café was good, the tasters very delicious. Definitely worth a visit when you have time. Also awesome for kids.

Such a great, free experience to enjoy in Nelson. Rachel, the tour leader, was very friendly and we enjoyed her jokes (even if no one else was keen! tough crowd!). Getting to taste the different spreads at the end was great, and we left with some new favourites. Only downside was that we didn't buy enough!!The cafe was also brilliant - good coffee and THE BEST banana bread I've ever had in my life. We will be back!!

The Pic’s cafe served really yummy French toast that was not oily and it was actually crispy! The peanut butter milkshake is yummy too! Make sure you head over for the tour! Great to know how my yummy peanut butter is made!

The story of Pic's somewhat late in life success is inspirational. It reminds us that it really is never too late to begin on a new venture, and that while there will be setbacks and challenges we just need persistence and the will power to find the solutions. A great story, and a great tour. Thank you.

Pic's Peanut butter World is a must visit venue for anyone visiting Nelson and locals alike. Years ago we stumbled on Pic's peanut butter at the Nelson Market and we were hooked. A big thanks to Claire for moving mountains to fit us in for a tour with our Son and Daughter. From the moment you walk into Pic's Peanut Butter World you can tell the this is not only a business, it is a passion. Our tour guide Claudia was amazing and super bubbly! The cafe have some amazing treats, the Peanut butter chocolate cookies and Banana bread are to die for. The coffee comes highly recommended had a nice aroma and taste. You can also buy lots of great souvenirs from the store of your visit and also a jar of pics for on the go!We meet two celebrities in Nelson Jimmy Carr and Pic, what an inspiration Pic was, a true and kind gentleman. He had founded and ethical and what looks like a sustainable business. With innovations such as Solar Panels powering the factory. All the best for the future, and thanks for your investment and commitment to the New Zealand economy.

While we didn’t have time to go on the tour, it was clear from the number of people who came out from the earlier tour, plus the enthusiasm of their applause, that the tour was fascinating and entertaining. We had coffees plus peanut butter granola and a bagel with PB and jam, and they were very good. We bought PB, including Pic’s peanut butter and chocolate. We loved it so much we have searched several grocery stores for it, but we haven’t found it yet.I love the gigantic peanut butter jar outside the entrance, too!
