ASURE 755 Regal Court Motel Dunedin

Tried to contact Asure 755 multiple times through the contact details on their website and no reply. After much frustration tried to cancel our booking but there is no functionality to do so on the website and again no reply from the owners. Would not recommend staying with them!

We moved in room 15. There was a lounge with double bed and a bedroom with single and double beds. So - it was 5 adults of us. But .... it was 3 chairs, 3 mugs, 3 plates etc. So we had hot drink in turn and shared plates. No bath towels in the room, in reception they were given as many as number of visitors. The box with tissues was empty. Apart of it the electric blanket didnt work on a bed in lounge. When I tried to say about it to owner and mentioned about discount she got angry and rude. She said discount is impossible. I offer to stay in room longer instead, what turned out impossible as well. All my attempts to ask why in room 5 sleeping spots and everything for 3 guests, were interrupted, she hardly listened and talked about her stuff. The owner offered me to stay in different motel next time and kicked me out of reception saying she had lots to do. Its not the way the management has to deal with clients. And we will never stay in this motel any more.

Accepted our request for a room at 10pm when every other place was closed. Very clean,comfortable and well appointed unit with excellent bathroom / shower facilities. Helpful and friendly staff. I’d give it 6 stars if I could.

Comfortable and clean. Hosts turned on hear pump so unit was nice and warm on arrival. Property is very close to town centre, ideally placed. Great stay.

My trip was ruined for this motel. We book a room a month ago Everything was confirmed. When we get there to make a check-in no room available due “system error” overbooking the place. dunedin’ accomodation was fully booked because of RHCP concert. So after drove 5hs to get the place, waste 2hs in the office without any solution, We assisted to the concert and drove again 5hs more to back home because we hadn’t any other option and cancel all our plans of the trip.However it has left me feeling extremely disappointed and upset as haven’t the opportunity to talk with a competent person to find a solution because a kid was on charge of the reception. yes I said right a young girl ! of course no mature enough to handle this situation what repited many time while I was there.

Booked this motel as advertised s being an ASURE Group motel. However, seemingly it isn’t…the female owner refused to stamp our ASURE loyalty card for our 2 night stay and quickly whipped out a $10 note from a drawer and handed it over to us!!!We were travelling with UK visitors. From the outset there were booking issues with the owner insisting we book a one bedroom unit with second bed in the living room, rather than the two bedroom unit we requested. Finally she agreed, after several phone calls and txt messages, to book us into the two bedroom unit. This interaction, further complicated by language difficulty, should have raised alarm bells about this accomodation!On arrival we noted the unkempt appearance of the facility, with accumulated leaves and weeds growing around the carpark/courtyard area.The unit was dated, drab and in places in disrepair. Not a cushion or picture, no colour. The unit, especially bathroom, in need of major refurbishment. Windows were dirty- bird poo splashed down the outside and children’s sticky food finger marks smeared over the inside. The view from the bedrooms was of debris and overgrown vegetation up to the windows. Kitchen drawers and cupboards were indisarray with equipment scattered aroundin no order whatsoever.The unit had a nasty smell that penetrated into our clothing.The one redeeming factor was.that the beds were clean and comfortable!Service was almost non existent to the extent that we had to drop our used towels to the laundry and pick up clean ones.The major issue for us in this whole situation is that we booked what we believed was a facility in the ASURE group, therefore expecting to find the good standard of accommodation that we’ve always experienced in this group. We were highly embarrassed to be subjecting our UK guests to such substandard facilities.We suspect that this accommodation has been part of ASURE group but is no longer due to not being up to the required standard. If this is the case then this motel’s advertising under ASURE is fraudulent. Our email of complaint to the ASURE group has not yet been responded to.

Too noisy with music playing late into the morning. Carpark so crowded you couldn't move around. Need to get back early evening to get a park.

Service is ok. But the old owners were more accommodating. Had been going here for 4 years. This time it was different.Unit #9. Pots and pans are clean. Utensils are organised.The shower exhaust fan to suck out steam and toilet odour wasn't working.Water was leaking on the floor under the kitchen sink cabinet.Somewhat like a sewer odor near the bed. Noticed the window was open. Closed the window and the odour diminished.Quite some items for improvement.

Very poor for disability access (absolutely and completely unsuitable).I contacted the owner prior to ask about disabled access (I am an amputee) and was assured it would be ok. there was still a room mix up despite this (I was put upstairs) and the reception staff member asked did I have a knee injury (I’m an amputee and was wearing a knee length skirt with my prosthetic leg in full view at the time).A customer I didn’t know that was also checking in agreed to swap her downstairs room for my upstairs one because the motel couldn’t offer me any solution.The downstairs room I ended up having had a parking space that actually blocked my wheelchair access to the door when I put my car in it. the door to the room was up a step too big to get a wheelchair in. the kitchenette was so small it was almost impossible to navigate and the wheelchair didn’t even fit through the bathroom door.the shower was up 2 steps, not floor level and the chair provided for me to sit to shower was the wrong size, I couldn’t get my knees clear to shut the door while sat down, not could I adjust the shower head from it’s fixed high position.the double bed was close to two walls so the wheelchair wouldn’t fit up either side of it.there was a heat pump and electric blanket provided. I had to leave both on overnight because the room was quite cold.the only access to reception was up a flight of steps also.I wish they had just admitted it was unsuitable in the first place rather than misleading me into thinking it would be ok. I contacted the owner during my stay to get their comment - offering them the opportunity to rectify the issues. They didn’t.

Owner managed motel so you can expect good service and will accomodate your requests. Managed to get a interconnecting room which was good for our family. Kitchen was well stocked with what we needed and rooms were pleasantly clean
