The Royal Hotel

We had our Matariki meal here on Friday night. It was spectacular, the food was delicious and service exceptional.

Love the interior decor. The customer service at the restaurant and bar is also outstanding. The menu has a great range of food as is the range of alcohol! Definitely will be back for some other cocktails :)

We popped in for a Saturday afternoon drink and sat out on the verandah with the 2 corgis in tow. The rosemary salted fries were tasty, and served with enough sauces to last the whole bowl. The Margrain Rosé was lovely, as was the Hazy Pale Ale. A very pleasant afternoon.

We were instantly charmed by the warm friendly staff and owner. The hotel has been refurbished impeccably and the large wood fire and comfy furniture are a step back to a grand hotel.The food was excellent!Highly recommend if you’re in Featherstone.

Had a family lunch, room was lovely and the attached patio area made having kids there great as it gave us a safe space for them plus as we had the whole area to ourselves was great, however that was the only good in this place. The food took 2.5 hours to come out, it was not good and very over priced for what it was. I wouldn't recommend this place, and wouldn't be going back. Sad really as it looks lovely but looks aren't everything.Received a very upset and rude reply from owners obviously everything is not their fault and the blame lays squarely with the customers. Well done, telling me never to return. That will teach me to give a fair review.

What an incredible stay at The Royal! Had a lovely child free weekend with a friend at the royal and enjoyed a beautiful, clean room as well as breakfast and dinner in their restaurant Brac and Bow! Very friendly and tentative service with a smile. We will be back!!

One of the prettiest places we have stayed. Loved how much thought has gone into it, especially in the dining room. The hotel room is beautiful, too. Enjoyed the meal.
