Lovely and not difficult walk through Bush and wetlands to a magic spot. We found a hot pool with a waterfall running in to it. Highly recommended place to visit.

Kaitoke Hot Springs is like in the middle of Great barrier Island. The walk from the main road is easy but it may take 45 - 60 minutes. You will walk through the bush/forest hearing birds singing and untouched flora as you walk by. Take a lot of drinking water because once you are in the hot pools, you are most likely to dehydrate. Take care as the stream water may be hot. Do not put your head under the water in the pools. There is no track for wheel chairs but I think you can bike up and down. We did not try biking. We enjoyed the hot spring and hope you can too. there are no shower or toilet facilities.

Gorgeous walk to a very small hot springs area. NB this is not developed. It is a natural hot spring in a stream. Take care,

Well worth the forty or so minute walk. Soak in natural hot springs, but be careful - some of the mini geysers are really hot.

Awesome place this - worth the trek. Not a long walk maybe 20-30 min stroll from car park. Water is super warm and quite hot in some places. It was initially quite busy when we arrived however people disbursed fairly quick.

Kaitoke Hot Springs is in a wonderful setting surrounded by marvelous trees. The water was around 30degC with daytime temp of 14degC. Also, there had been a lot of overnight rain.Easy 35min walk from the road is worth the visit and don't forget to take along swim suit, towels & water.
