Met friends here for brunch. We all enjoyed our meals, lovely to sit outside in the sun/shade (they had outdoor umbrellas). Busy place, best to book!

Place was fully booked but we managed to get a table pretty quickly. People were getting turned away after we sat down. Both drinks and food came very quickly and both were very tasty. Even at a busy time, highly recommend this place!

First time being here, had heard excellent reviews from friends and finally made the drive from Central Auckland. This was definitely worth the drive! The iced coffee was excellent and had good flavour. The food was delicious and had generous portion sizes! It was fresh, flavourful and pleasing to the eye. I implore people to make the trip (that don't already live in East Auckland).

I ordered the fish tacos and for $24, it was a rip off. One tiny piece of fish, barely any corn or dressing and just a massive amount of coleslaw. The fish was tasty but there was barely any there. I've heard good things about HVC so this was very disappointing.

Delicious dinner, staff are friendly and attentive. Super nice atmosphere. Can totally recommend it and will definitely come back again.

Vegan breakfast was unique and tasty, coffee was made with Allpress beans and they all tasted great (flat white with oat milk, latte, americano, latte with soy milk).Lots of savoury and sweet cabinet food options alongside the menu which was good.

I have now been to this café twice and both visits were very recent.Firstly, the service is great and you will never be forgotten. The wait staff are very professional and make sure their customers feel welcome.The coffees they make are absolutely outstanding, or at least in my opinion! Great flavours and at the right temperature upon serving.The only area that could be improved is with the burgers. I ate a beef burger on my last visit and just found it to be kind of bland, and not the best quality of beef either. The chips and aioli sauce on the other hand were superb!Overall, I will definitely be returning in the future as they are local to me, and do many things well at the same time.
