Fantastic service and superb job. Easy and quick to arrange - true to their word and no hassles. Door to door service. My long recycled matai dining table was in real need of repair and resurfacing and Kilmister did an amazing job. So pleased with the surface - gleaming, all marks gone and beautifully restored to its deep colour. They put a sunscreen coating on should last the distance. Highly recommend!

Tony was recommended to me by my dear neighbour Mel. I purchased a french chair from an Antique shop in Nelson. It was badly water damaged, but I could see its potential. Tony did an amazing job restoring the damaged 1960's woodwork. My beautiful chair is now a lovely piece of furniture, which now has pride of place in my home.Recently I gave Tony a 1940's English Oak dressing table. It had seen better days. Again, water damaged with other repair issues needing Tony's expertise. I took delivery of the restored piece earlier this week and thrilled with the result. A beautiful piece of restoration. I couldn't be happier with the work of Tony and the team. I had ordered some high-end custom oak bedroom furniture, but the company I had ordered it from stained it quite a different colour than I had ordered from them. After two unsuccessful attempts on their part to remedy the situation, I called Kilmister and was reassured by Tony that he and his team could repair the pieces properly and stain them the appropriate colour. He quoted me a fair price over the phone after seeing photos of the pieces, and let me know when he'd have availability to do the work. When the time came, the team was available, the price remained the same as verbally quoted, and the work was done quickly and to an excellent level. Great, efficient delivery in Wellington at the agreed times as well. I'm so satisfied with the work, and the beautiful dark colour they used to bring out the grain of the wood. Photo is of the main piece (chest of drawers), and there are also two bedside tables that match. Highly recommend for staining/re-staining wood furniture!

We didn’t want to go with French polishing, which was a tough decision given Kilmister Furniture Restoration do such stunning work. Instead, we went with a general wooden furniture restoration and paint. The end product was fantastic!
