Great bit of surf for the surfers. Quite a workout staying on that wave and as a spectator very entertaining

Nice place for water sports or to chill out. Busy with surfers and kayakers. Lots of walkways around that area. Have a look!

It's simply an area of the river that has a endless wave. Room for one maybe two though river is fast flowing. Not for kids

We came across having cycled down from the lake. A hidden gem and a good reason to bring a surf or body board.Very communal feel with everyone exceptionally friendly and offering advice.One chap had dropped his kids off with a couple of inflatable rings and they were going to float down river to their campsite.Great little place.

This is such an awesome place to get kids confident in the river. Good for bodyboards, surfboards, Kayaks etc. check the flow before going.

Great ride along the water from Wanaka.Very pretty and nice easy ride for those not quite so confident on their MTN bikes. Watch for the e bikers though, often not in such good control.

Amazing Facility, so lucky to have this in Hawea. Defiantly do it if you are a surfer.
