Did the Foraging workshop and had an awesome experience! Ash led us around the town and pointed out a number of edible weeds such as plantain, purslane, creeping mallow, and their nutritional qualities.We had tea and lunch with foraged ingredients and ended at the Bush Reserve where Ash showed us native plants and trees

The foraging course was a fantastic experience, Ash was a brilliant guide incorporating survival knowledge, Rongoa, Tikanga, sustainability, environmental awareness. A much needed, back to nature, restorative experience. Loved it, and will definitely be back to do more courses in the future.

Wow, what an amazing experience! Want to actually know & attempt surviving a night in the wild. Nz Survival is the place. Ash is an absolute wealth of knowledge in survival bush craft. In a mere 2 days we practised and field tested bush survival skills that would actually keep us alive. I've come away with real confidence that I could take care of myself or others using his teachings. Couldn't of asked for a better experience. Can't wait to do the next course with Nz Survival.

Honestly one of the best experiences of my life. The two day survival course is a must for anyone curious about beginning or building their bush craft skillset. Ash provided a safe and supportive environment for us to give things a go, and was incredibly generous with the sharing of his knowledge and time, even sharing what gear was in his pack, which had a lot of interest from the group! As a result of this course, I now have the skills to butcher wild meat, make a shelter in the bush, filter water, start fires from different materials, identify more edible and beneficial plants, make snare traps, and rope from flax. This course has definitely piqued my interest further, and I will continue to build upon what I have learned here. If there was another review available for the kai, I'd also give it 5 stars! I have now completed both the 1 day foraging workshop and the 2 day bush survival course. I cannot recommend either of these courses enough. The information and training is top notch and Ash is an incredible teacher. I can now build a bush shelter, skin an animal, start a fire with no lighter, make flax rope, identify plants to eat and evade capture from my wife.. essential survival skills. Thanks Ash. A+++

An absolute pleasure to attend, fascinating from start to finish with a real hands on approach. Really helps you leave feeling much more confident in several areas of bushcraft, ensuring you've got a decent understanding of the basics.I'd compare it to a vacation but your learning a whole bunch and you get that incomparable satisfaction of hard work paying off. Really enjoyed the experience.

Amazing hands on experience. Ash is a professional with lots of useful skills and techniques supported with a bunch of interesting stories. Time well spent. Highly recommended.

Wow, amazing day spent on the one day survival course! I was buzzing afterwards. Ash is a really humble, gifted teacher and has a wealth of knowledge that he really generously passes on. The location is stunning, the prep that must have gone into the day really thorough and the learning super empowering. We covered so much and got even more nuggets of information from the general conversations throughout the day. Big gratitude from me!
