As a solo, somewhat intrepid traveler who doesn’t drive and with a chronic health condition to boot, I’ve always felt a bit disadvantaged traveling in New Zealand where places are far apart and there are limited touring options to the more remote locations.So on my first trip to Northland, I was initially disappointed that there were few tours covering the places I wanted to visit. Total Tours was my wish come true! I got a tailor made tour just for me - covering the glow worm caves, Haruru and Rainbow falls, Kawakawa and Kerikeri which included the stone store, beehive, chocolate factory and Huntertdwasser toilets.But what I will specially cherish and always remember is the care and warmth that I received from Annette, which meant the world to me as it was a long day. She was patient and adjusted times and locations according to my needs with sound advice. And then there were the stories and eclectic conversation which covered every topic under the sun. Time just flew and by the end of the tour we had come up with a definite plan to change the world.I signed up for a tour without much expectation - I came out with the experience of a lifetime and a newfound friend! We recently travelled to Paihia for the first time with friends. We booked a day with total tours to take us around Keri Keri from Paihia and she charged us 125$ each. What do you get? An Uber service to cheese factory, chocolate factory, shopping stores, two wine estates for wine tasting. We had our car with us. Had I known that I am only paying for Uber service I would not go ahead with this booking as I could have driven on my own. As a group of four friends we paid 500$ and plus she made commision out of our shopping in stores she took us to.Disappointed- Nothing more than a glorified Uber Driver.

My wife and I booked a tour to the Glow worm caves in Feb. 2020.Annette hired a delightful woman who took us to the caves. She was full of information and told us of all the sights on the way. On the way back she even took us to a great spot for a beautiful photo of the bay. I mentioned to Annette how my wife and I wanted to see the Haruru falls and walk back to our ship. She offered to take my wife and me to the falls at no cost even though gas is very expensive. I wish to go back to Parthia and if I do, I would go right to Total Tours and book with Annette.

Total Tours is big rip off. I booked this tour along with my friends who travelled for the first time to Paihia, North Island. We paid nearly 500 dollars for 4 of us for Keri Keri tour.What she delivered is basically driving around the places including Chocolate factory and cheese factory and taking us to the shopping stores and letting us buy the stuff so that she can get commission out of it.If we could have aware that 500 dollars we paid just to drive the car and taking us to the outlets. We would never ever take this tour. We could have drive by our self and enjoyed much more. Our money is just wasted.On top of that, we also had to pay for our own lunch. Absolutely not worth it and I would not recommend anyone dealing with Total tour..You basically pay for UBER AROUND + She will give you ZERO INFORMATION + She will get commission from your shopping + You have to pay for your own lunch. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, BIGGEST RIP OFF

Great team! They looked after our transportation during a golfing weekend away. We pre-booked but then changed our pick-up time twice due to our own disorganisation and golfing celebrations running over time. Bruce was very easy to deal with and did his best to accommodate us and our many requests. Cheers team!

Had a fab time. Great wine lots of laughs.
