Passing through on our travels and got hotdogs & chips for lunch. Friendly staff and my order was ready quickly. Chips were delish, hotdog was good!

Disappointed with the food, had a gluten free chicken burger, the bun was stale, it said it would be with avacado which it was not, 1 slice of tomato and a tiny bit of lettuce with no sauce so a very stale unappetizing meal. Chips were great, but meal took over an hour to come out.

Wow... The fact that I remember how bad the food was here when I came here.. That was in 2017 September.. I ordered the Wedges and had bacon and cheese added for a quick bite on the way to Lake Tekapo, the wedges were undercooked, the bacon was scarce and the cheese was too much. The customer service was so rude, I think it might have been cos it was close to closing time? It was with a lady in her 20s or late 20s she might have had red hair, but I definitely remember this place. Not recommended.

Alright place to eat. Fairlie a fairly small town so it’s slim picking for place to go. Think we want to this place by accident. Our hotel recommended another bar up the street and we mistaken it for this place. Place is due for some renovations and life in it, looks a bit scary from a tourist point of view, which probably explains why nobody was there during peak dinner time. Felt like we were out of place. Just a dry environment for a pub. Only staff person there didn’t even greet us. Sort of had to self order and sit down. Food was alright and decent price. General home cook pub food. Overall I’d try another area to eat at.

Terribly long wait for food.. mucked up our food orders. We won a bit on the pokies but they had no money to pay out.. we literally had to pay for all our meals in cash just to receive the winnings back! Staff looked run down!

Unfriendly service, no beer on tap, bottle of beer was warm. Glad I didn't bother trying the food

If you want to step back in time to old school nz come to this quaint little pub. The barmaid was friendly and the beer was cold. The other local patrons were welcoming. We didn't try the food but the menu was basic. Fairlie is a cute rural town and definitely worth stopping in.

Came here for a pub meal but it was awful. Bangers and mash were expensive, mash was cold, lumpy and watery, veg was barely thawed, bangers were huge but tasteless.
