Highfield Gardens Reserve
Cute and fun reserve to visit. There is no charge for entry although you can make a donation to the sanctuary. We saw 7 donkeys while there, all very tame and ok around children.There is a nice walking track too that brings you down by the water.Bring some carrots with you to feed the donkeys, they love them!

Highfield Gardens Reserve
A lovely park for a walk. Don't forget to bring some carrots or apples for the donkeys. The kids will love it. Plenty of shade to sit and relax.

the donkey farm located in Algiers bay new Zealand. such a neat place for family friends and visitors. drive up the hill and see beautiful views all the islands then take a bush walk from the tip off the hill to either the donkey farm or Algiers bay beach

We came on recommendation from a work colleague, this is amazing. We didn't know it even existed. The donkeys are obviously happy and well cared for and they were OK with us touching and feed them some carrots. The walkway goes right through the enclosure. We'll add this to our list of places to visit regularly. Highly recommended, especially for families with kids.

Make sure you take some carrots and apples with you. Beautiful place and donkeys are well cared for. My daughter loved it

Lovely place to take the kids and go for a walk. Make sure you take some cut up carrots and apple quarters as a treat to feed the donkeys.
