Decent school, heard good things from some worse from others, but from what I’ve seen, the toilets oddly have a strawberry scent, the teachers tend to make horrible mistakes, comparable to my family and that there is insane vape sales in the boys bathroom, holy I copped like 12 for like 30 bucks. Would come back again 3/5

Now that I'm in the school now, I would like to give an review from the experiences I had being in the top class.1. All the teachers (except one) I have a really good, very logical and have values that the class can all respect. The exception being a specific sir" who keep us in class half way through morning tea

I have heard a lot positive about this school. It is arguably one of the best school in Auckland as they encourage studies and sports equally. Tough to get into school unless you live in the neighborhood or your parents or relative studied in the school.

I was there for the Auckland Grammar old boys annual dinner and awards ceremony in the old boys pavilion. With close to 200 people present and some very notable people it's no wonder that people want to send their children to this school. The ethos of the school has not changed which therefore creates an atmosphere and a learning environment where the students are given every chance to excel. Even in the troubling times of Covid the school continues to work through the process and where other schools are struggling to get their student numbers back, Auckland Grammar student numbers are well above the average.

The streaming system is counterproductive. The teachers don't teach according to the board examination's curriculum, they teach whatever they like for subjects and end up missing out on 70-80% of the actual board exam syallabus and many teachers don't know what teaching means. They just leave everything to the students. Stay away from this school.
